Manny Pacquiao was smart to resign.

That's why I said hypothetically, but right there is exactly what I mean if Pacquiao could get KO'd again by Marquez, WTH do you think bigger strong faster fighters are going to do, Pacquiao can't pick from just KO'd mentally scarred Cotto, or a just KO'd coming off a suspension Margarito. There are Prime fighters at there peaks going at it and Pac is getting old.

I love Marquez but outside of beating Pac again Marquez would lose to every top 5/10 WW

I disagree with you. Marquez is a sure fire hall of famer... most of the guys you mentioned haven't beaten anyone.
Porter? You do know he was Pacs sparring partner right?
Imo even this version of Pac beats the sh*t outta Maidana. Again... Maidana hasn't beaten anyone nor has Thurman.

Clearly we disagree a lot on the abilities of some of the Welterweights. Financially for Pac, I think fighting new blood will be better but unlikely Bob allows that. Provodnikov is the biggest non GBP fighter for Pac right now IMO.

The whole point is that Pac could have been his own boss...like a Cotto or Mayweather. WTF does Pac need to pay a promoter for? The whole world knows who he is.

    Because he is loyal.
This is a typical trait of Filipinos who got "rescued" from the slums by the "white guy".
Also it's not in our culture to be risky. For as long as there is a consistent source of income then that's better than risking a flop or dip in your income.
Besides he probably is letting his scores of advisers settle this for him.

If this is really his reason then hes dumb as dirt. Seriously, hes one of the biggest name boxers in the world. He did that ****. Jewrum didn't win those fights for him. But honestly, I seriously doubt that hes that dumb. Theres more to this than whats coming out.

Pac and Arum want to make a deal with the Duck so what is the problem with him signing an extension?

He is a boxer and that's it,he is not interested in promoting himself.

exactly, and mayweather should man-up and fight Pac, since he would make a boat load of money for what he and his fanboys call "an easy fight". But alas, floyd always finds an excuse to run from pac, and this will be no different.

@STB I realize that and if this was something important things like punctuation and proper grammer would be looked at, but on a sports forum all you need is to get the general idea.

Anyway I stand by my thoughts that Manny Pacquiao has the most blatantly stupid fan base.

Mayweather is ducking for asking for drug test, Pacquiao asks his opponents to drug test without taking them himself and its cool.

Mayweather says leave Aum he's ducking, even though guys like Mosley, Marquez, & Bradley had to leave to fight Pac.

Pacquiao is a warrior will fight for free, but 40 mil isn't enough.

Mayweather chose Maidana's gloves he's a coward, even though Pac chooses his opponents gloves and asked to choose Mayweather's gloves brand & size when they first negotiated in 09"

Mayweather only fights guys coming off losses, even though every major name Pacquiao fought got KO'd/beat a few months before fighting Pac.

This fight not happening falls squarely on Pacquiao at any point in time he could have accepted reasonable offers to fight but allowed Bob Arum to ***** out, and now that Pacquiao had aruably lost three fights in a row before Rios I don't blame Mayweather for not wanting the fight now.

Can I again stress the importance of a hyphen.

Resign means something different to re-sign.

    I thank you
