This fight isn't happening

 

The fight can't be made because of money. This thing always happens and it disappoints all boxing fans who want to see the best fighting the best. Both sides start talking about making the big/mega fight but then it becomes just a rumour. So tired of seeing this BS!

 

his fight with Thurman/Broner around that. 400k with Broner and 500k with an inactive Thurman.

Fighting the so called p4p 1 should draw a mil buys.

People buy matchups as much as they do names.

This is one of the most interesting fights in boxing right now.

 

That number ain't realistic but that's probably a high pitch on negotiation. Lets see..

 

This is them just revisiting the fight that was almost a done deal last year for Qatar (till the pandemic). So who’s to say this 40mil is something new, or unrealistic? Considering Pacquiao is also giving out Crawford’s cut, the Qatar deal has probably managed to pool together around 50mil, which Pacquiao obviously wants the majority of.

 

That's a lot of money to fund his regular ped usage. Damn!

What happened to the Garcia fight? Manny is still a draw but I don’t see him getting near that figure for any opponent not named Mayweather. Wait, maybe there is an opponent...

Since all these celebrity and retired boxer fights are becoming a trend, what about Manny vs Mike Tyson? Huge size difference but Manny is closer to prime. Also, since it’s not an officially sanctioned fight, both guys are allowed to use PED’s or any substances they wish. Manny is much smaller but I’m betting he sparks Tyson in three. Happy to pay to watch this. Someone make this happen!

I would be surprised. Pac is not the draw he used to be and hasn't come close to doing 1mill in a long time. He would need another big draw and as good as Crawford is, he's not a big draw.

IMO Pac/Spence would be a bigger fight which would probably do around 700-900k

 

Boxing has taken a hit and I don't see any fight doing 1mill+ in the near future unless it's a "name" HW vs another "name" HW.

You might be right about Crawford/Spence though, that fight might exceed expectations.
