    Because as well as being fans of sport, most people are fans of the stars of that sport as well, and by proxy they are then haters of their rivals.

    I'm not actually a fan of Ronaldo, Messi, Pacquiao or Mayweather.

    But I am a fan of Leeds Utd therefore I have an irrational hatred of Huddersfield.

    I'd rather **** in a glass and down it then cheer Huddersfield on.
