Can i just say before i heap praise on Pacquiao that the sportsmanship he showed when he asked Kenny Bayliss to stop the fight in the final round was beautiful thing to see and Manny is a true credit to his family country and sport. He beat my favorite fighter and he did it like a true warrior does. He shows what can be done when your humble and dedicated. He is a true inspiration to myself and i hope many young boxers and people in general. He has improved on near on every single part of his game and has excelled and developed into a ATG. Freddy Roach must take huge credit...it's one of those partnerships that comes along every so often and it's special to watch. It hurt watching him beat Miguel but i know Miguel and most Cotto fans can look back in time and think what a special fight it was and that when you lose...you only want to lose to someone like Manny.
Wow, I was so so wrong last night. Pacquiao is an absolutely phenomenal fighter, insane to think that this guy has won titles (if you count The Ring title) in 4 weight divisions in a little over 18 months. Can't wait for the Mayweather fight, even though I can't see Floyd losing I'm never ever backing against Pacquiao again.
Floyd won't lose because he won't take this fight. He'll price himself out. If Floyd came in at the same weight as Cotto I got Pac winning. If Floyd doesn't fight Pac, Floyds legacy is seriously downgraded IMO.
While I was watching the HBO coverage apparently after the first round Cotto's trainer said 'All Pacquiao has is a left hand.' atsch
Tremendous fighter. It took 50 years for another Henry Armstrong to come along, this is something you might only see once in a lifetime. Pacquiao is the face of boxing and as a fan of the sport you have to be proud of him. If somebody wants to know what boxing is you only have to show them this man.
What this man said, sad fact is most people in the street would know nothing of the man or his contribution to the sport, he is a fitting heir to Hammering Hanks throne
When I first saw Pacman in early 2000 shadowboxing I had a feeling he was something special even though he was still raw. Last time I had that feeling was with Mike Tyson shadowboxing. They just seemed to have that combination of speed and power. The guy is a phenomenal athlete with a great tactician behind him and is just getting better everytime!
