Even if you put Manny’s giant roid head on Shaq’s body, people would still stop, gawk and mutter “holy lords that’s a giant freak head”. It has now grown past the ridiculous level and has joined the ranks of the utterly absurd. I can’t even imagine how strong his neck has to be just to keep that wrecking ball upright.

 If an asteroid the size of Manny's head struck Jupiter's surface it would destroy the entire planet

Manny took some really good right hands by Thurman, almost too many for Manny's age and too hard. I think Manny should think about retirement after taking those punches. He took them and he won, but taking those punches is never good for anyone.

This is why I don't want him fighting Bud or Spence even if I think he could win those fights, because even if he does, he'll take some serious punishment. And it may not appear now, but later in life, does he really want that?

This is also why I want him to just fight feather fisted Floyd one last time or just retire altogether.
Or maybe just one sweet KO victory over Khan or Paulie just to shut those mofos up.

I saw the Thurman fight and Manny looked good, but some of those rights Thurman landed especially one big one I saw is a punch which you don't want to take whether hurt or not. It was huge right and Manny absorbed it, but as Angelo Dundee said one time when Hearns was hitting Cuevas clean and Dundee was the commentator on ABC and I think it was after round one and Cuevas was taking it. The other other commentator was saying Cuevas was taking the punches well and was not hurt and Angelo said. " yeah but those punches don't do nobody no good" I always remembered Angelo saying that as though some punches taken or not are doing damage somehow. And with Manny the other night . they were not glancing against Manny, they were clean. If I were Manny's family I would say just retire now. Get out. Thurman's punches were felt by Manny. Big time. I know that from watching boxing for years. I think deep down the punches Manny took was worse than the ones Thurman took. Most people will disagree with me. Hagler took punches against Hearns and Mugabi which were tremendous and almost the same thing. You take those punches and you are never the same and Hagler never was.
