Dude, 150-106 is 44 pounds. And yea most Americans and people I know gain like 60 pounds from those ages.

Ya know why? Cuz almost everyone gets fat.

He was still a boy when he turned professional, ie still growing. It's similar to McLarnin's rise through the weights but it's got nothing on Carpentier. I was 86lbs & 126lbs at some point when i was developing also.

If anything. He stayed at Super-feather too long. Although its very rare a fighter has success at all weights inbetween where they started an where they finished off. Blame that on the amount of belts if you must but its still rather impressive.

Youre mucle density, height, muscle mass all go through observable changes during those years. A male is not full grown until he is 25 FACT.

Only a person with the webster disease who has lived in a plastic- bubble with only anti-american propoganda could possibly make a post as dumb as the one you just.

I'm not saying people don't gain weight. I'm aware that males grown until around age 24.

But what I'm saying is most people do not climb 9 weight classes and remain effective.

Pac went from light flyweight to light middleweight and remained effective. That is not common.

not now adays, but it IS easierwith more weight classes.

Id argue that Patterson going from a MW to HW champ is more impressive.

Both Archie Moore and Lanford both started as LIghtweights and ended heavy, I believe.

Armstrong, but he defended his titles LINEAL.

Pacquiao has 4 lineal titles, the most ever. But even lineal is kind of meh because it does not actually physically exist.

Let's look at Pacquiao's divisions fought.

    108: Just backroom brawls
112: Defeated Sasakul top 15 flyweight ever
122: Defeated Ledwaba by far best 122 pounder in world
126: Defeated Barrera and draw with Marquez
130: Defeated Morales (past prime) and Marquez
135: Defeated Diaz. Meh. LW was weak.
    140: Defeated Hatton
    145: Defeated Cotto and DLH
147: Defeated Bradley lost to Mayweather
    150: Defeated Tony Margarito

So you can see that in just about every weight class he was in he fought the best.

So the lineal argument doesn't really hold weight. He fought the best at nearly every division.
