Rios is a very good boxer...not the best...but his attributes are in his ability to scrap, bang and fight.

Styles make fights and Abril had a style that cause Rios problems. Let's face it....Rios, Alvarado and Abril are NOT Elite level guys. But they aren't bums either. They are solid A level fighters who were good enough to become champion.

I think this fight suits Manny perfect in the position he's in. It's not exactly a light touch but the styles match up plays into his hands....not to mention he's simply the more talented fighter...faster, stronger and more athletic.

Rios won't come to lay down but he's not on Manny's level so it's a good fight to test the waters. And it should be action packed for as long as it lasts.

Floy-***s are just mad because people will not be leaving while the fight is still on like the embarrassment that was Floyd/Guerrero. Guerrero was a real ****ing bum. Alvarado would kill Guerrero any time of the month and Rios knocked Alvarado square out on their first fight.

Surely you can see the difference between the two? What determines a good opponent or not, is the level of competitiveness he brings to the matchup. The more competitive he is, the better the fight/matchup becomes. A lot has changed from two years ago when Pac and Floyd were pretty much even. Here, I'll try and visualise it for you. As it stands:

excellent fight, will pay if its ppv. Pac came off a brutal KO loss @ the hands of the better Marquez. I my self think pac should of taken bradley (if that was possible). Rios is a heavy hitter & who knows how pac is mentally. Hope he beats rios, some one like pac should not be used as a stepping stone & I feel like thats what Arum is doing. If pac looses I can see pac being a gate keeper for the top rank 147 stable.

Victor Ortiz, despite lacking heart and boxing skill, was BIGGER and STRONGER than Floyd, and possessed one-punch KO power... Obviously Floyd was the favorite, but he did possess some threat

Robert Guerrero, despite lacking any one thing that makes him special, like Bradley he is great at nothing but good at everything, with a great chin and decent enough power... Again, Floyd's the heavy favorite, but is anyone is capable of beating Floyd when he gets old, it'll be someone like Guerrero

Tim Bradley, again, despite lacking any one exceptional physical talent, he is good at everything. Has a great chin, is slick, and can box... Pacquiao the heavy favorite, but Bradley posed a threat (on paper)

Rios is a one dimensional punching bag with decent power that only ever looks good when fighting brawlers with the same skill-set as him. Manny Pacquiao is not a face first brawler... This is not a tough fight at all, this is going to be a complete wipe-out, and anything less than an early stoppage is a sign of massive decline
