Manny is an excellent counterpuncher when people actually try to fight him. You don't get to this level in the sport without being able to counterpunch. Like Pac said, if he didn't initiate the attack, there would be no fight. And when people do inititate an attack, they typically get the **** beat outta them. How is that not a sign of an excellent counterpuncher?
The problem is, opponents know better to throw against him, so they don't throw unless he throws first or they run away. Or they get the **** beat outta them.
All these guys saying they've never seen it from Pacquiao...that's because you follow a boxer and not boxing. You have a guy here with over 18,000 posts who doesn't have a clue.
I'm not upset it just makes no sense. Why would it be called a counter punch if there is no punch thrown .. and by your logic the KO of Ortiz should be called a "pre-counter":rofl This content is protected Daaamn Floyd just pre-countered him twice. Manny could never do that.
He said before the punch is even landed, meaning there was a punch thrown.. Did you see Ortiz throw or motion to throw a punch in that gif you just posted? :blood
its not what hes known for its not what he gets credit for but he sure can its like ppl saying floyd cant come forward and be an aggressor, its not his forte but he can do it
There were some Floyd fans talking about "pre"-countering on another thread. It makes no sense to me. They were saying Floyd countered Ortiz before he even punched. How is that is a counter punch? It's Floyd taking advantage of leaky defense.
Actually yes he is a counter puncher nowadays, and it's ruining him as a fighter he no longer cares about the constant work he used to put on his opponents and is only looking for spectacular one punch Ko's and aside from Hatton that never was Manny
I agree, but what you used as an example from bald isn't the same thing as what you're saying here.. :thumbsup
