I'm not sure what you're asking...Hatton leaned left to throw a hook, wound up and got beat to the punch. Nice short right hook inside a real wide, telegraphed punch.
Maybe, if I'm following, if the opponent winds up a right hand and you hook inside it. Your weight would be on your right foot, so you could get under and outside his right by sliding your left foot to to the left and carrying your weight to it, come back with a straight left or a right hook. (as you'd now be, briefly, in a south paw stance)
