how can you even call this decision a gift when the two best p4p fighters were involved here? it was inevitable that a fight involving these two will result in a very close decision that could sway either way. a gift is casa's win vs. sta. cruz and dlh's win vs strumm, certainly not this very close fight.

the prob w/ jmm is that he's been involved in many close fights even with fighters he is supposed to dominate. just look at his fights w/ john, a way past-prime barrera or even his fight w/ the shot casa which was very close until the KO. seems that jmm is way too conservative even in fights where his opponent is supposedly inferior to him. but when he decides to become more aggressive, he gets hit a lot more and fighters like pac and mab are able to KD him. i guess what he needs to win more of these decisions is to be more aggressive, initiate the action more but at the same time improve his ability to block and slip punches which is now next to non-existent. counter-punching can only take you so far especially at the elite level.

 

Then Pacquiao should say thank you... This is the greatest gift he got. (sarcasm)
