You are must be ignorant, pac career is not done yet why are you trying to compare him to srr when pac career isn't over yet-moron.

FOr those who think that Manny's career and legacy is NOT CLOSE to SRL are clearly stuck on stupid. Ray himself knows PAC is doing things in the sport that only he has been able to tackle in his hay day. Ray's favorite fighter is Manny at the moment and says some pretty gracious things about what Manny does for the sport.

Not a fair comparison, pacquiao can't fight people who aren't around. SRL did beat Duran, but Duran also beat him... Hagler has a case in that fight. Moral is, Pacquiao wasn't an amateur star olympic boxer. He was poor kid boxing for money. Coming up from nothing, then boxing the top fighters in his division back to back..... on top of that moving up in weight and fighting the best in those divisions too

i honestly think there is cause here for healthy debate. leonard has the greatest resume of the past 30 years to be sure and it's hard to compare. but i think there is enough greatest to pac and his resume to open discussions. the duran win from leonard is better than anything from pac YET (and i hold duran is the highest regard) but still the number of great wins on pacs resume is startling

If you can't compare him with what he has done thus far.....then PAC could beat Wald Klitko at HW and you along with every other hater on the job will find a reason why PAC shouldn't be held in such regard. It's a situation some fans/haters will never accept....which Leonard, ALi and many other greats went through in their day. It comes with being the best.

yet at the same time that win over Leonard by Duran in 1980 is overrated big time. Duran had Ray fighting his brawling style and Duran could not stop him. Then Ray outclasses Duran months later and then duplicates it in 1989, showing the rematch was an example how Ray would have beaten Duran everytime they fought after the first fight. Anyone who knows boxing knows that Ray more than likely beats Duran 10 out of 10 fights after that first fight. So how was that win so great. You guys act like Duran beat the Leonard from 1981, and that he stopped him in the fashion he stopped Moore. He didn't. Ray beat him easily the last two times they fought. I do not think the Leonard first fight puts Duran in ATG solely from that performance or really is that impressive. If you really look at it, Ray was inexperienced. Duran was not a small welt then.

Pac beating mayweather...I dont think you realise just how big this win is. He will be beating an ATG, in his prime at Pac's 10th weight division, in the 7th weight his champion at.

To make a comparison....thats a bit like SRL beating RJJ at LHW!!! And thats just SRL's 5th weight class. Pac obliterating Cotto at WW would IMO be comparable to SRL destroying someone like Antonio Tarver(prime) at LHW or even Chad Dawson.

I consider SRL better and is in my top 10, Pac is top 15 for me but people get carried away with older fighters.

This is what I consider fighting at a weight. If someone won a world title at a lower weight, that is starting at the weight. Not starting there with 4 fights and moving up slowly as they mature.
