I've said Wlad > Lewis for a few years now.

Talent wise I'd agree. He's probably not as hard a puncher, but he has better technical skills. People forget that Lewis didn't even throw jabs until Steward came along. And even when he did he was outjabbed by some opponents. Watch the Mercer vs. Lewis fight if you don't believe me. Lewis was outjabbed all night long. Wlad has never, to my knowledge, been outjabbed in a fight. Hell, I don't ever recall him being outjabbed in a single round, though I'm sure he has been.

I think 03 lewis vs 10 wlad is a wlad win. But I do think Lewis so far has had the better career.

I don't know about that. I think Lewis was a better overall fighter. But I certainly don't think it's crazy to suggest or even say that Wlad has more natural talent. Some of the things he does in the ring are quite impressive. Triple jabs, triple left hook, hooking off the jab...those are things big guys just don't do. And he can do them. He's an incrediably talented fighter. Anyone who disputes that is just a hater. That said, it doesn't mean he's a great fighter.

wlad is talent wise better then lewis for sure, better jab, more power, better right hand, better left hook, better footwork, faster. BUT lewis was a real fighter who has a better chin then wladimir and is imo smarter in the ring, he had more ring iq.
i'm a big fan of wladimir but lewis would beat him 7 out 10 in their prime.

If Wlad had a better chin/ toughness , there wouldnt be many fighters in history that I would favor to beat him. But he lacks in those areas...

Pure talent wise , yes he is pretty damn gifted . 6 '7 , 250lbs with no body fat... Has great footwork, an amazing jab and devastating power in both hands...too bad he wasn't given the chin of chuvalo..

Yea , I feel bad .. This era is so weak... The opponent most demanded for Wlad is just some loud mouth ***** cruiserweight with no chin :/

Sorry but what the **** is talented about throwing a couple of punches then leaning on someone? I've not seen Wlad fight before and apart from his imposing figure he looked pretty **** skill wise.

I don't think he initiated most of the clinches tonight...In short, you don't know what you're talking about. Wlad actually fought well tonight when he wasn't being held. I know it's a switch of script. But take a look at the video. Peter was warned three times about holding, Wlad wasn't warned once. :patsch

I do know what I'm talking about, I'm not blind. I've checked other threads and it seems to be the opinion that he fights that way.

I'd say it's about even between Wlad and Lewis.

Wlad has the better jab and better foot work, but Lewis has more power in that overhand right than any punch Wlad can throw.

If Wlad stays dominant like this until he retires, beating Haye, Povetkin and maybe a few of the current up and comers once they're ready, then I think history will see him as the better fighter.

Lewis was a bigger warrior. Talent isnt all. For instance Andrew Golota could have had even more natural talent than Wlad, but he lacked heart and was weak mentally. I dont say that Wlad is weak mentally, because he simply isnt, but I say that there is a huge gap (in toughness) between Wlad and Lewis. Vitali on the other hand is very tough. As tough as Lennox I believe.

I would have to respectfully Disagree .... When Wlad lands a clean left hook... he has caused major damage.

If there is a difference in power, its not much... not enough to know for sure

yep, basically what I said.... IF Wlad had the toughness of say... a Marvin Hagler.... He could have been the best ever
