Win or lose, makes no difference to me. Taylor is in my opinion, no better than a glorified amateur. He can never get better than he is at this stage.

Better put your action where your mouth is. Is there a month off betting thread for Taylor-Pavlik and Pac-MAB fights? We can see if you are really confident of your boxers if you are willing to bet a month off ESB.

I just wanna know how people can still sit here and defend Jermain Taylor. I think people do it because they know he's under a lot of scrutiny right now and the in-thing is to bash him. So this is just their way of bucking the trend. Identify with the guy who's on the offensive. Everyone and their mother knows that Jermain Taylor is in trouble saturday night and all this berating of Pavlik just reeks of insecurity on both Taylor and Steward's part. I'm getting sick of hearing it. Jermain Taylor's title reign is one of the most questionable the sport has ever seen. At least Sven Ottke had some legitimate victories inbetween his robberies. Jermain got a gift in at least one of the two Hopkins fights, got a bogus draw against Winky, and then barely got by Spinks. Do u think Emmanuel Steward would be so animated if everything was ok? Seriously.

People were saying the same thing about Taylor winning by KO before his last 2 fights and guess what, No KO! This Taylor hype train never dies, I've never seen people more confident in Taylor even after 2 awful performances and let downs. This guy barely knows how to throw a proper punch anymore and backs up for no apparent reason. You think we would even be mentioning Taylor's name anymore if Hopkins threw punches like Pavlik? I doubt it...

To me, a glorified amateur, is someone who demonstrated tremendous potential in the amateur ranks, but never really kicked on in the pro division. Taylor never had the true heart for the game and relied on a wild swing to eventually connect.

Pavlik on the other hand, will have learnt a lot from the Taylor fight and will consider his defence as inadequate. Having risen from a near KO, Pavlik clearly demonstrated where his heart for the game lies. He is one of the few fighters who punches down the pipe.

An exciting fight to watch....and one, where I was at one time, questioning my own assessment of Taylor.

The division has gained in credibility!

    Have a great weekend!
