How come Cintron wasn't trained to move his head better? Isn't the ability to slip punches one of the main ways to defend especially if you got your left hand low?

Cintron should withhold Steward's fee. At best he deserves half of the agreed percentage. I couldn't believe he left his fighter, who was obviously hurt, to rush his azz back to the HBO booth.
On a given night he should either be a trainer or a commentator, never both!
I've read all the posts on the Steward-Cintron thread, and I agree 100% with those who say he gave Kermit the worst possible advice.
His behavior on Saturday was downright shameful!:fire

Because he was instructed by "legendary" trainer Emanuel Steward  to not back up and take the fight to Marg.

The biggest joke about this is the fact that he went to the booth on the very next fight. It wasn't like it was a fight or two away. As soon as Cintron got KTFO, he happily put on his mic and put on that stupid looking smirk for the camera. He looked like he was happy.

Why didn't Steward tell him to fight on the outside ... when he had a bit of distance between him and Margarito, it seemed like he was doing something effective.

Once it got in close quarters it turned more into Margarito's fight. It was obvious that he wasn't going to knock him out ...

Steward couldve been like ... box ... box on the outside and when you get in close tie him up.

I think once again Manny Steward has lost it ... he doesn't seem to care rather his fighters lose or not either.

He seemed cool with Andy Lee losing, Jermain Taylor, and Kermit Cintron. He was talking all this **** about Lee and he turned out to lose to a guy that wasn't on his level ... and Lee seemed very limited as far as a complete skill set. There were so many obvious flaws with Lee - I thought when I see him fight .... WTF? ... this guy wouldn't last 3 rounds with Kelly Pavlik.

I also noticed about Steward he doesn't tell his fighters to clinch ... all his fighters who have lost have lost because of their inability to clinch.

I don't know exactly what he teaches his fighters ... but its apparent that its not enough or not more than what people say.

This isn't what happened. Cintron looked like he was willing to keep throwing all night and wasn't worried about Margo taking it. What happened is he wasn't prepared defensivly. His whole approach was totally wrong from the start.

Anyone who seen the first fight knows that - Cintrons approach was wrong from the begining. Steward shouldve known and concentrated more on boxing.

Cintron did prove to have a bad attitude and did look discouraged once again in the fight ... after a few rounds ... Cintron was getting hit at will and he would throw some hard shots in retaliation, but it seemed more he was doing that to keep Margarito off of him.

It didn't take long for Cintron to go in a shell and hit survival mode.

I've always been a big Steward fan but I have to agree that his advice in the corner was atrocious.Clintron was getting hammered and was told to keep moving forward? He even used to old cliche of "he's getting tired!"

Terrible corner performance and as others have noted his recent record has been less than stellar....

He shouldve known that Margarito never gets tired ... he had a good idea because I never seen Margarito fight going backwards ... but he would have to box on the inside to be effect, not wing power shots ...

Cintron did well on the outside and was doing quite a bit when he wasn't so close.

Ever since stewart join the HBO crew he's trying to make himself a superstar trainer...I really think that he believes that since he made the "HBO cut" he's a star and he carries himself like that...if u look at most trainers they are humble and want their fighters to succeed, however look at manny, right from the walk to the ring he thinks he's the ****...HE walks before the fighter as if he's the star...he did that w/ JT and Taylor lost too, he also gives his fighters bad advice in the ring, maybe HBO told him to create more action so he tells his boys to brawl and stand ground... The thing that annoyed me most bout him on Saturday was the fact that if he really cared bout his fighter he would go to the locker room with Cintron after the loss instead of parading his sly smiling face in front of the HBO cameras... Stewart is becoming a Piece of **** attention wanting trainer and it reflects through all the losses his fighters accumulate...

He gives them good advice they just usually dont follow it. I have heard it in Taylors corner and Vlads. They just dont listen to him.
The Cintron thing was pretty idiotic. He should have told him to box from the outside.
