Manny is right. Really the best fighter Floyd beat was Corrales. Oscar was too old, Hatton and Marquez too light. Floyd avoided Margarito, Williams and Mosely as if they had Leprosy. Too bad , because Floyd probably would have beat them all. But he never took the chance, and thats what you have to do to be great.
Henry Armstrong for example , was the featherweight champion and skipped over lightweight (today that would be a 4 division skip) to win the title at 147. Doing things like that are the standard for true greatness. Like the old beer commercial said.."it's not what you say, but what you do."

What i've come to realize about "old school" trainers/fans/boxers is that they live in the past!!! They look at past fighters and consider them great as if they could compete in todays level of competition!!! It's hard for them to give present boxers credit because they feel as if they are losing some of their past!!

You don't have to look far, just watch one of Floyd Jr's self-indulgent interviews :rofl

great skill doesn't add up to being a great fighter if you don't actually beat the best and greatest fighters of your era.

(good skill + defeating best opposition) > (great skill + so-so opposition)

Manny also basically made it seem like Calzaghe's resume was the shiznit. He was dick riding him so much. But we know his resume is not that good.

This is completely BS. You can do the same thing to everyone's resume, including Pacman. That wasn't the best fighter Mayweather fought. This is pure bias garbage.

I Manny, he is the only one who doesn't talk too much **** and the person I agree with the most. But Floyd is great, he is just not a Ray Robinson great which I agree with. But still great

You're taking it out of context. Steward pretty much said that PBF isn't in the same league as Robinson and Leonard, and he's right. And that was before he got the decision over DLH and his wins over Hatton and JMM. His resume was weaker than it is right now when Steward made that comment. And yeah, his unwillingness to fight the best was in stark contrast to those guys.
