Manny Steward Fury is leading HW contender in the world

Fury could be very good, if he learns how to punch properly and use his natural gifts and got into good shape, lost all the fat on him which I dont think will ever happen.

 

It's not an outlandish statement, he has a decent record and aside from povetkin, who won't fight a klitscko, it's him, seth mitchell or del boy, and he's beaten derek

 

He looks in pretty good shape at the moment, better than Ive ever seen him before

Thats a start but I dont know how far he can go when he's trained by & spars with his family

 

He is looking in good shape.. Fury knows he has to be in top condition now..

 

Think Steward would be best trainer out their for him. Heard he trains his fighters by teaching the fundamentals all over again, think thats something Tyson Fury needs right now because his technique at times looks awful for a fighter at that level to be honest.

 

I was quite impressed with Fury when he fought Firtha , till he got tagged like that. He let some really flashy combos go. Its definately there for Fury but it depends how much he wants it..

 

If Rogan has anything left, Furys got problems.
He hasnt a clue how to defend himself, and If Rogan really goes for this like a 3 round Prizefighter type fight, Fury will taste canvass again.
I dont think he has much left, so have a feeling Fury wins in 3 or 4.

 

Next Steward will be telling us that Dimitrenko is the new reincarnation of Muhammad Ali. No doubt Fury's cousin told Manny to put in a good word for him.

 

Fury NEEDS more time. Give it a year or two and he could beat a Klit, right now he'll get knocked out and humiliated against one of them.

Of course Emmanuel Steward would say that at this time. Fury should focus on getting that Irish title, then the European against someone like Dimitrenko, and perhaps face a challenger like Pulev. If he beats Rogan/Dimitrenko/Pulev then it's fair to say he'll be ready.

It's only lately he's started to be in shape for fights, the thing that excites me with Fury is his potential. He has the size, the work-rate, and plenty of heart to be a top 5 heavyweight in the next few years, but technically there's aspects of his game that are still missing. Refine those and then he'll be a world champion.

 

The funny thing is the only reason we're talking about Fury and Price for world titles right now is due to how stale the heavyweight division is. I know it is beating the same drum but does anyone really think that when Lewis, Tyson and Holyfield were at their peak that someone with a record of Fury or Price would be in line for a world title shot? (This comment isn't meant as disrespect to the Klitschko's)

Also remember Tyson Fury is 22/23 so he has just short of 15 years in the sport left so no need to rush him, considering what he's doing at the moment then in 8 years when he's thirty I reckon he COULD be very good indeed!

 

Could see Steward taking on Fury in the future (depending on how long Wlad fights for). Fury needs a world class trainer though. He's still young and has time on his side to develop.

I can't imagine the Fury or Price of today would have had much of a chance against Frank Bruno even, and Bruno was no world beater back in the day.

Having said that, a lot of people bought in to David Haye as a real challenge to the Klitschkos.
It seems Fury and Price won't get the favouritism that was bestowed upon Haye.

 

Haye wouldn't have gotten that without the Valuev win. All the belts are tied up now but saying that if Fury managed to pick up the 'regular' WBA, Mick would market him as a world champion. People would get carried away again but not to the same extent.

There is no Valuev type fight for Fury/Price but there is Povetkin.

Needless to say I'd rather they both took their time and kept away from the Klits and went for them when they're ready (if they ever are).
