This was Manny Steward on the lack of decent fighters in the Heavyweight division. I found this statement very amusing because regardless of whether or not Manny intended this, his staement carries the implication that he knows that Wladimir Klitschko is not one of the best heavyweights in history.

Klitites - Take note, even Wlad's own trainer doesn't rate Wlad that highly.

I'll be at The Garden the weekend after next cheering Iggy on!

I guess that Vitali is the one of Klitschko's that would be considered as one of ATG's if he didn't have problems with those injuries. His skills, size, speed, power, chin and most of all his mentality fit to my imagination of the champion very well.

I wouldn't necessarily say this about Wlad.

  5. We all know Wlad's amazing, Manny's just being respectful to the others

You do that, and be sure you don't come on here the day after, because you're getting humiliated more than you already are.

Of course he's not one of the best heavyweights of all time. I'm sure Wlad himself would be the first to admit that.

Swallow, Steward doesn't need an utter moron to try and speak for him. I assure you, Steward does rate Vlad highly or he wouldn't waste his time.

Guys guys guys, which one of you pencil necks said that when Wladimir hangs up his gloves he’ll be remembered as an all time great? I tend to stay away from absolutes but one thing I can assure you is that Wladimir Klitschko will not be remembered as an all time great when he retires. The three losses he has already endured, the men who inflicted those losses and the nature of those losses make that a near impossibility, and if there was ever any doubt left that he might, unfortunately, the severe lack of credible opposition (as admitted by Steward himself) pretty much seals his fate.

I currently have Wladimir ranked just above Chuck Wepner and below Primo Carnera.

chuck wepner - ouch that hurts! wlad is only 31 and will be remembered as the man of the 00's, make of that what you will. his losses hurt his reputation, but everybody had losses: lewis, holyfield, tyson, foreman etc.
