He wouldn't have been. Had this division of heavyweights had any men with punching ability (and I mean more than just the crude winging hooks of Peter) then Wlad would have even more strikes in his loss column.

I like Calzaghe. But honestly his division has been depleted and weak for years and years. Calzaghe has had so many easy fights. You should just shut up.

I agree with you (accept for the last part). This thread is about Wladimir though, start another thread if you wish to discuss the sheer brilliance of Joe Calzaghe, I will definitely contribute.

Wlad improved with Emanuel Steward. Wlad would be a much better fighter if he could work with Emanuel since 1996/1998.

You insult Vlad's credibility for being champion over a weak division. Yet, Calzaghe spent years fighting numerous guys like Tucker Pudwill, Kabary Saleem, Evans Ashira, etc. It is totally hypocritical of you!! Look at your ****ing avatar, if you want to insult a fighters competetion. Or does that only matter against fighters that you don't like?

Wladimir is one of the best heavyweights in the world.. What was wrong with the comment... Honesty is the best policy.. Its refreshing to see Manny not making overstated emotional predictions above his station.. Like making likeness to someone like Ali ... He could have said the worlds best heavyweight, but i guess he may have an eye on a younger guy out there.. (Povetkin..) Remember when he had McCall and Moorer he traded them for Lewis, he always had eyes for Lennox since day one..

Then again we may all be over reading or analysing Mannys quote...

    Listen up!!!!!

Steward has said he beleive Wlad is one of the best of all time. Steward also said he doesn’t see anyone beating Wlad. This is what he believes.

However, trainers can say things to push their fighter’s buttons. Steward knows Ibragimov is no push over. He is a speedy southpaw in his prime who can hit and has not meet defeat in the ring.

What Steward said here ( Which could be out of context ) is simply an old trainer’s trick to get his fighter to focus on the job at hand.

Steward saying Wlad is one of the best heavies in the world will help Wald focus. This is a high stakes title unification match.

That is incorrect, it would only be hypocritical of me if I stood here saying that Calzaghe’s opposition was significantly better than Wlad’s, but I am not, therefore, your statement is both inaccurate and highly inappropriate.

I agree, but if he unifies within the next 2 years he will be
