Manny Steward: I want to train David Haye

turning haye into a 1-2 throwing grab and hold ****** would make the guy even less palatable to me.

Haye would be a force with Freddie Roach :deal

 

Roach is overrated. Steward is the real deal and actually developed guys to be world champions, not just grabbed guys who were already good.

 

It raises an interesting question:

Has there ever been a championship bout in which both fighters had the same trainer?

 

If Stewart believed that Haye will dethrone Vlad, he'd be on the phone selling his services to Haye even before the fight.
If Haye defeats Vlad, Stewart will be in Haye's dressing room right after the fight selling his services to the new champ.
That's just the kind of opportunist Stewart is.

 

Steward is a great teacher and reinforcer of the boxing basics. Not sure his methods would appeal to David Haye. In any case if Haye loses I think he'll hang the gloves up.

 

Haye-roach, the perfect match.

 

Haye should look at building a Dundee/Tyson team.

 

Maybe Steward would like to train Haye. Doesn't mean **** for who he feels would win this fight, but maybe he feels that Haye has a lot of talent that he could bring out if he was training under him. Either way I can't ****ing wait for next weekend regardless of who wins though I'm pulling for Wladimir.

Yep, but I think it was after that nervous breakdown, but then he jumped from Lewis to the Klit girl. Take my word. If Haye has a future, Stewart would be right there, trying to paint himself into it. :yep

 

A better one than Haye-Steward anyway. But how many more fights is Haye intending to have anyway?

With Emanuel Steward Wlad become a more complete fighter.

Nothing wrong if Steward wants to hep Haye after he lost to Wlad. Steward helped Chambers too after he lost to Wlad with some advices.

Steward is absolutly right:

 

whatever steward says at this point will not save poor david from the extreme pain he will absorb next week. Mark my words after the first solid klit jab haye will be on the bicycle for as long as it lasts.

 

Steward is such a media *****. The guy will say anything that will make him look good in the moment and then completely change his statements when it no longer suits him. He's one of those shifty guys that we all dislike. I believe he's an ok trainer that's only suited for some boxers.

 

Roach isn't the greatest defensive coach. At least no defensive-minded, but he'd do wonders for Haye's balance and footwork, and Ariza could help with his stamina I imagine. I don't think Haye would be all that better though, considering his offense is his strong point and his defense/chin/stamina are his deficiencies.
