Pac only goes the distance if Schafer calls Oscar between rounds and tells him that makes money:yep

I'm sure he will come very serious in this one, this is Pacquiao we're talking about, he comes 110% for major fights like this and LIVES for major battles like this too. I will be very shocked if he gets KO'd or dropped, then again it's very possible and I'll be prepared for it. Will be a sad night if Pac loses by KO or even decision.

You know this is a Oscar vs Gatti type of mismatch. And Gatti was winning the first up to the ''slip''.Gatti was described by you'r words in the quoted post, did it help him?I will be shocked if Pac ain't at least rocked and wobbled hard and probably will get sa stroke if Pac wins

Yeah, that's what everyone is picking, it's clear this is mostly money and the offer was too big for Pacquiao to turn down. Then again I'm sure he knows he has a bright future in the sport woth far more big fights to come and taking a bad step could ruin everything so I'm sure winning is in plan here not just money and good bye.

Pacquiao is no Gatti, he actually has some skills and can fight defensive in this one while using his speed and movement to his advantage. Really not sure how his speed will be at Welterweight nor his stamina and I will be surprised if it's horrible. He isn't rated P4P #1 for nothing. Gatti got a major offer like that and an offer he didn't come close to making ANYTHING similar to at the time so he made the move without thinking twice and admitted it was for money as it was obvious without the need for him to mention it.

I don't think this will be the mismatch everyone is predicting.

DLH's stanima is poor and having to boil down to 147 will deplete that even more. If Manny can stay on the outside in the first half of the fight and not lose his head and go gung ho then it will wear down DLH. Once Oscar's blowing out of his arse, increase the pace.

People are saying that Pac's speed, power, stanima may not carry up to welterweight but i don't think this will be an issue. Pac stepped into the ring against Diaz at 145 and Roach has said Pac will come into the ring agasint DLH at a similar weight so the Pac we saw against Diaz in terms of speed, power, stanima will be the same Pac that steps into the ring against DLH.

Obviously Pac will still be giving up weight but if he can avoid taking that big left hook early and use his speed and quite decent technical abilities to actually box early on then start opening up more as DLH enevitably tires then it will make for a competitive fight.

You beat me to the punch! It cracks me up every time I listen to Emmanuel Steward. Every fight goes "exactly how I saw this fight panning out". Manny should be a billionaire with his ability to predict the future. I would have loved to hear him call the Corrales/Castillo fight. Midway through the final round..."This is exactly what I knew would happen. Corrales can't stand inside and trade with Castillo. I knew he was going to end up on his back in round 10." After Corrales gets up and rallies back..."I told everybody that Corrales was going to get knocked down twice, spit out his mouthpiece, get back up and stop Castillo in the 10th round. This was a very easy fight to predict and it went exactly the way I saw it happening."

Well, these are the types of matches that separate JCC seniors from the JCC juniors. We might just find out in the near future if Pac is the real deal since Henry Armstrong, who stands 5' 5 1/2" and defended the Welterweight championship more times than any other fighter.
