I read that too. But Wlad hasn't fought that frequently as a champion. And he's 34 FFS - too easy to pull a muscle and the fight gets cancelled. More than a few journalists think it's a crock of **** too.

Of course he should be ready.
Chisora's a 1 or 2 round fight, or a sparring session at best.

Haye's already judged that Wlad cannot do it, but all Wlad's doing is honouring his agreement with Chisora, something Haye probably will never understand.

I don't care what the biased pro-Haye reporters say, Wlad's claim that he will be ready July 2 should be taken seriously.
Of course, an injury can scupper the fight, but that happens anyway, with training.

Problem is, too many people are under the illusion that Haye's some sort of 'super-challenger' and Wlad will need months of silent meditation and training to prepare for him. But to Wlad, Haye's just another fighter and he's fought several men as good, or better, than him.

Fight is dead it's as simple as that. No way Wlad recovers from del boy and trains for Haye within an 8 week time period. Not a chance.

Derek Chisora could be looked at, as a televised trainning.

I think it is ****ing pathetic, the way fighters need so long to recover these days. Mike Tyson fought 13 times in 1986, the year he became world champion.

Fair enough, if you are in hospital with you're injuries......take time to recover.

But Waldimir will treat Derek Chisora like a sparring session.

It could actually benefit his preperation for David Haye.

Wlad's always been active, this is fairly unusual but not totally out of character. He's also the fittest heavy out there. Personally I don't think it is unfeasible.

Wlad should get any easy fight like Mormeck signed for the 2nd. Chisora & Mormeck with Adamek later in the year? No problem.

    Its an unfair compairson.

After fighting 13 times in 1986 Tyson, as champion, fought 4 times in 1987, 3 times in 1988 and 2 times in 1989.....not far off Wlads schedule of fights over his reign.

Just because you haven't done something before, doesn't mean you cannot do it.
Everyone has their moments of proving people wrong but they cannot do it if they are denied the opportunity to attempt it..
