The whole article smells of Mannys 'I knew this would happen'

He belives LL would beat Tyson/Holyfield in their primes, no ****, what else would yopu expect LLs trainer to say?

LL didnt prolong the beating, thats more bull**** coming from Manny. In the HBO documentary LL stated it was because hed hurt his right hand. I dont buy that either. Sorry there was no way Lennox was going to put Tyson away in a couple of rounds. People need to watch the fight again.

As far as Lennox intimidating Tyson, this is the first time ive ever heard this story. Funny how Manny didnt go into more detail. Watch the HBO documentary, Lewis himself stated he was scared of Tyson and 'never wanted to fight that guy, because hes an animal' when they sparred as kids.

Maybe so, but neither McCall nor Rahman punched as hard as Wlad. And they both sent Lewis to dreamland. That fight could go either way.

Olympics and amateurs dont mean ****.

Tillman beat Tyson in the amateurs, Ruddock beat Lewis, Biggs beat Lewis and Biggs used to beat up Bowe in sparring.

:lol: You do realize HBO Legendary Nights lie to people like you , they treat you like Daddy treat his five year old on Christmas eve.:lol: Santa is not real, neither is HBO Legendary nights. Lewis prolonged the beating, it is what it is.

Ya, let's calm down here. We all love Tyson, and Hands_of_Iron is one of my favorite posters and one of the smartest ones.

But let's take 5 steps back from the Tyson fever. The only other logical time they could have fought is if Tyson fought a mid 90's Lewis instead of Holyfield. I think Tyson would have gotten knocked out way before the 11th if that had happened.

Now I am 100% sure Tyson personally did not 'duck' Lewis in the mid 90's, but his management DID steer away from Lewis because they felt the Holyfield fight was

    1- Bigger Pay (very true)
    2-Easier Fight (True)

they were actually right on both counts. Tyson still lost to the easier Holyfield, but it was a hella fight.

Oh was that the reason Lewis held on and clinched all night to an old corpse of Tyson?
Because he wanted to hurt him. I always though it was because Lewis was not that good of a champion. My mistake.

No folks,Lewis was offered a Tyson fight in 1996 and Lewis didnt take it.
Steward said before Lewis-Tyson that "Tyson was washed up." Lewis and Steward knew Tyson was finished and that is why Lewis chose to fight him.

Holyfield said Tyson wanted to fight him instead of Lennox because he felt Holyfield was easier.

Holyfield said Bowe picked him in the rematch instead of Lennox because Bowe felt Holyfield was easier.

    Ya we should believe you

    over Evander Holyfield.

    Ok

Well Tyson was finished in that fight, Lennox could have bombed him out almost any time he wanted, but he was overly cautious, Steward was screaming at him from about round 4 onwards to get him out of there as Mike was dangerous as long as he was upright, but Lennox just went out and jabbed

Actually, Tyson/King paid Lewis some step aside money so Tyson could fight someone. Seldon I think, with the promise that Tyson would make his first defence/next fight against Lewis.

Of course, they reneged on that and chose Holy instead.

You really don't have a ****ing clue do you?

Right so HBO is lying to me by speaking through Lennox mouth and telling everybody that hed hurt his hand. Id rather believe Lennox than some spastic like you

Yes because Manny Steward the former trainer of Lennox Lewis is going to give an unbaised description of Lennox Lewis
