Like i said before, you know **** ALL about boxing. So you should go away

Ive read the book and i know all of that, and your point is? what does that have to do with Mike Tyson the prizefighter?

Atlas is talking ****, Tyson had planned to have Teddy killed for that little stunt. But i guess you seemed to have missed that part.

Teddys a bad ass isnt he, pulling a gun on a 19 year old kid...hmm i wonder what would have happened if hed appraoched Tyson without a gun?

And the flip side if you go by Stewards comments is that Wladimir has better 1-punch ko power, footwork and overall athletic ability. Lewis was tougher, but did get stopped twice by lesser men than Wladimir. I'd lean towards a Lewis win myself because of his mental toughness, but I could also see the fight go all wrong for him if he got hurt along the way. After all, a prime Wladimir would be the biggest puncher Lennox ever faced. I like both fighters, btw, and would love to have seen a bout between them.

Taken from Tysons Autobiography by Peter Heller

Chapter 5: The Catskill Years page 91

"That incident ended things once and for all between Cus D'mato, Mike Tyson and Teddy Atlas. According to Jay Bright, who was living at the house then, and indeed still does, Mike planned to get his revenge on the trainer he was once devoted to. Tyson confided to Bright that he was going to kill Teddy. 'Teddy should thank god hes alive.....Michael wanted to go and in no uncertain terms get rid of the guy, really, and Cus talked him out of doing what he wanted to do...., I know exctly what Michael was going to do, and no one would be able to trace it back to Michael. No one would have known."

He sufferd broken ribs in the Holyfield fight, and was sidelined for a full year. God, you don't have a ****ing clue do you?

Marc Roberts, Ray Mercer's manager, said 1988 Olympic champ was idle since losing to Holyfield last year to mend two broken ribs he fought with last three rounds. Said Mercer: "I don't like my manager telling about my injuries."

He has fought just twice in the last 25 months, winning neither contest. His last fight saw him lose on points to Holyfield a year ago, when he was dropped for the first time in his career and suffered broken ribs.

    So let's do the math.

RAY MERCER NOT AVAILABLE 05/95-05/96 W/BROKEN RIBS

Tyson didn't come back until 08/1995, and had two fights at the end of 1996, a title unfication and a defense against Evander Holyfield. So are you arguing he ducked Mercer to unify and fight Holyfield, get the **** out.

Mercer's horrible outing against the unranked Spoon took away any positive press he got for the Lewis fight. BTW, it was mostly negative spins for Lewis because he struggled so much against a fat shop worn Mercer. Than the broken neck thing Mercer out for good when he was planning on fighting Golota. By this time, Mike was already suspended for biting Evander.

in short...THERE WAS NO WINDOW FOR TYSON/MERCER YOU DUMB ****!

    DO YOUR RESERACH!

    Sure he just isn't stupid?

Tyson ducking Mercer from 1995-1996..that's a ****ing hoot. Out of the other side of his mouth he'll probably claim Lewis didn't duck Byrd.

Everyone knows that anyway, it was very obvious.

All his talk about injuring his right hand and having to slow down is pure bull. Lewis wanted to take advantage of the moment and he had all the right to do so, that was his career defining moment.

Tyson couldn't prevent his own wife of bamboozing and making fun of him in front of millions, but he was going to get Atlas killed, after telling anyone around him, and get away with it.....

Maybe its because theres a big difference in killing the woman your married to and a famous movies star and killing some bum who threatens you with a gun

Honestly, you should read some of the **** he has come out with, then he pulled out an alt account as well (PMfan)

    My response

Doesnt matter, when they did fight Tyson took all Lewis could offer before going down. I dont think Lewis is knocking out a younger, much better Tyson, any faster.

How would LENNOX react to the punches Tyson and Ruddock were hitting each other with?

His response to the above ^

I would say you are too dumb to realize you got fact checked and exposed as being completely ignorant of the heavyweight landscape at the time. You are talking out of your ass without a clue, so there's no reason for me to continue this debate.

Yet the same injured Mercer gave Lewis probably his closest fight ever in 1996. Mercer went on to fight Witherspoon later that year, while Tyson chose Seldon to defend his title .

Mercer was a tough nut to crack, he gave both Holy and Lewis hard fights. He would have been an abvious credible oponnent for Tyson.

After getting exposed by Holy twice, Tyson could have fought Mercer anytime he chose, but went instead for the easy money.
