Tyson VACATED the WBC belt he had just won from Bruno, rather than face Lewis.

AND he paid him 4 mil.

As far as TYSON - HOLY being the fight everyone wanted, PURE BULL****.

Holy was seen as the sacrificial lamb going into the fight. Many people feared for his health.

Bookmakers had Holy a 25-1 underdog.

    Nuff said.

Tyson feared Lewis and vacated the WBC belt rather than face him, exactly like Bowe did before him.

He thought he would steamroll Holy; in the rematch he took the easy way out.

He needed money and accepted the Lewis match, and still tried to get out of the fight by biting his thigh.

The guy was a bully, and couldn't cope when people stood to him; he probably ducked Witherspoon too while in his prime.

Why did lewis refuse the offer to fight tyson then only to sue him?
He wasnt a draw and he wanted an ubsured amount of money! At the time he wasnt worth it he had just lost to mccall, then after had a questionable decision with mercer! No one really liked him! So mike moved on and fought holy for 35 mill. Dropping the title and paying court fees not step aside.
You really dont kniw where you are going with this do you??
    And tyson ducking spoon?
You do realise spoon wasnt in contention as he was knocked out in 1 by a guy the tyson had beat!
You really are thick as **** and prob about 12 years old. If you were older you would know this ****!

It's you and the 2 other bozos that are 12 years old full of ****.

You don't get to define reality.

There was never a desire to see Tyson- Holy because Holy was thought as completely shot, even though he had won vs Mercer.

Tyson - Lewis would have been much more credible.

Tyson ducked Lewis, like Bowe before him.

Get that in your thick skull, and move on.

You obviously never watched the fight it you think that. Lewis actually lost a post for with way he was manhandling Tyson. Don't believe me? Watch it again.

Jeez you go on about me being credible then you put the same thing as before up, then put another newspaper up after saying its all ****?
Do you really think at the time lewis could offer tyson 45 million for a fight when lewis was being paid 3-4 million a fight at the time! Your ****ing crazy if you think that!
The whole point to sue tyson was for him to drop the title you mpron.
Why did lewis reject a career high payday of 13.5 million before he fought mercer only to fight mercer for what, 4 million?
Anyway i dont know why we are on this subject you clealy know fick all.

Who did tyson duck before prison.

You keep coming back with your " Why did Lewis refuse his biggest purse" and ignore the fact Tyson dumped the WBC belt and forfeited himself what could have been his biggest purse ever.

So your argument goes both ways.

It's called a purse bid, thick skull.

When a champion and challenger can't agree on their respective purses, the fight goes to purse bids; whichever promotor comes with the bigger offer stages it.

Maloney TWICE came with an offer to Tyson of 45 mill, and still Tyson chose to run.

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/$45M%3B+That's+Tyson's+purse+if+he+fights+Lewis.-a061318815

The UK support for their fighters is well established.
Lewis would probably have won 30 mill or more if Tyson had taken the fight in England.

But Mickey the bully coward ran away and dumped the WBC belt.

    The rest is history.

Tyson had his biggest purse ever, 30 mill, for the Holy rematch.

He made 20 mill for the Lewis beatdown, couldn't find a way out because there were penalties in place if he ****ed up again in the ring, and got so thoroughly outclassed no rematch was sellable.

Tyson the bully had a very short prime, didn't like to face other great HWS, found a way out of the 1991 Holy fight, and avoided Spoon.

Commiserations to all Tyson gangstas wannabe idiots throughout the world.

I think Spoon might have beaten him. It was shocking the way he was treated with the ranking bodies.

    Tyson ducked Lewis FACT.

Nobody who followed boxing than outside of British Lewis huggers would have said that.

Tyson/Holyfield was one of the hugest events in Heavyweight Boxing and one of the most highly anticipated fights. It didn't matter Evander was the underdog.

I think its obvious who the 12 year old is.

And fantastic tough talking from a guy who's been exposed as not having a ****ing clue. Accusing Tyson of ducking an unranked fighter you had no idea was out of action with broken ribs, and claiming the Seldon fight was a defense.

Its all beginning to make sense now

So Tyson must have secretly paid Smith to KO Spoon in 1 round, so Tyson doesnt have to face him.

And then Tyson lost to Douglas on purpose because he knew he would have to fight Holyfield next.

Tyson knew Douglas wasnt going to give him a rematch and he knew Douglas would fight Holyfield instead. This then gave Tyson time to fight a bum like Ruddock twice, while Holyfield fought the dangerous and avoided George Foreman.

Unforunately for Mike, he beat Ruddock twice and was back in line for Holyfields titles. The ever scheming Tyson then decided the best way to get out of the fight would be to fake an injury against Ruddock and then when this didnt work he raped Desiree Washington. Hoping, praying that he would get locked up so he doesnt have to face Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis.

Tyson then must have bribed the judges so that Lewis and Mercer have a close match, that way Tyson doesnt have to face either of them

He then decided that its better to duck Mercer and Lewis, 2 guys who dont bring much to the table and face 2 guys who could give him titles and face the unknown bum Holyfield who would provide him a bit of pocket change

    It all makes sense now.

Outside of England, Lewis was an after thought at the time. The Mercer fight actually hurt his stock. Mercer was overweight and coming off an injury and many felt he did enought to win. Combined this with the McCall KO still being fresh in people's minds, and nobody was buying Lewis as a fighter to be feared. Despite losing to Bowe, Evander was at least more convincing against a more fit Mercer and of course...

People wanted Holyfield/Tyson since 91, it was all everyone ever talked about. There's a reason it was billed as "FINALLY" We had parties for both Tyson/Holyfield fights with people attending who never even watched boxing before. It wasn't just wannabe gangasters like this borderline 12 year old racist is trying to imply, black/white/whatever, the eyes of the nation and probably the world wanted to see that fight. I don't know numbers, hell, sure there are fights that made more money, but the cross over appeal they had has yet to be matched. Everyone was talking about Tyson/Holyfield.

Exactly, Tyson/Holyfield was the Pac-Mayweather of its day.

If Mayweather comes out of prison tomorrow and fights Pacqiauo, are people going to say he ducked Bradley????
