Manny Steward to train Chad Dawson!

that's good for him, he needs someone to snap him out of it and get him focused

he also needs to stop getting high it's definitely affecting his game

 

What makes you think Nazeem would train him when he already trains B-Hop? I think this is a great move. I can already see Manny in his corner yelling at him "Let your ****ing hands go!" Which is exactly what he needed to told in his last fight but he was never was.

 

He needs an offensive-minded trainer. He has good fundamentals with above-average defense but he just fails to let his fast hands go enough. Even when he has his opponents hurt he pushes off the gas pedal. I hope my man Chad can change that but I root for both him & Pascal and hope it turns out to be a good fight. Steward is a great trainer but great trainers don't always make great fighters.

 

Chad should have never left Mayweather...

 

That's great news for Dawson. He will demolish Pascal this year, and underline his status as one of the most talented young(ish) fighters out there, below the Pacquiaos and Mayweathers and Marquez's.

Yeah, i'm afraid that Steward will actually bring out the worst overly cautious nature in dawson and he'll turn into a 1-2 fighter :deadHe needs someone to light a fire under his ass and make him fight, like Roach.

 

Mayweather is a fraud of a trainer, he's a moron. Manny Steward has more boxing knowledge in his left bollock than "Big Floyd" has in his entire body.

 

Don't hold what happened with Taylor against Steward. Taylor was Taylor. I have seen Steward blowing a gasket at Wladimir, he has the fire.

 

Seems a good move. I hope Steward doesnt stop Dawson's fluidity and make him more robotic though. He'll make sure he's not so lazy during fights like he was for the Pascal one anyway.

 

Steward's speciality are boxer-types but Chad needs to stop letting his opponents recover and think about more offense. He's good but fights like his mind isn't all there.

 

Eddie Mustafa is one of the very best in the business, not good for Chad to leave him and Johnny Toccos.
