Manny Stewart says Pacquiao a top 10 ATG.

I think beating Mayweather, Williams, and maybe one more of those guys at 154 would be a sure top 5 spot.

 

Agree, said this a while back and we're not alone, Mayweather gets him top 10.

I don't think it'll happen though. With his political aspirations and the fact that after Mayweather (if he wins) he's got nothing left to prove.

It seems to me Manny said he considered Pac an all time great, he didn't specifically say he belongs in the top ten, at least not how the response was written in the post. Of course Manny's an ATG it's just a question of where to place him. Personally I think he's about in the 30-40 range but could move up significantly if he can beat either PBF, or SSM. Then he could be in the top 20-25 or thereabouts.

 

i have him in the top 25, if he gets past the Mosley-Mayweather winner, top 15 is not out of the question. He would not just be beating THE best WW in the world, which is Shane. if Floyd gets past Shane, then Floyd is the new #1 fighter in the world. IMO, if Mosley beats Floyd, I'm sure he deserves to be the new #1 P4P in the world. Vice versa if Mayweather beats Mosley.

 

I agree.... I have been saying for a while that I think the winner of Mayweather-Mosley is clearly the best WW, and on my list would most likely put Pac at #2 Pound for pound.

I can see the other side of the argument, but this is my honest opinion.

 

When taking into consideration that accomplishments more than skills are what truly merits a particular spot amongst all-time fighters, it's presently decent to put Pacquiao inside the top 25 ATGs.

then he would make my top 10.

 

Manny Steward for years has been a heavy critic of Manny Pacquiao for his awkward and unconventional style along with his careless defense. I guess all those years of covering Pac live at his fights has made Manny Steward a believer.

I'm not insulting Manny and it's all subjective anyway, but the man does work with HBO. He was put on the spot, and maybe he doesn't think about an actual list in his mind. I don't know. I'd say Pac probably can't crack that list in modern circumstances. I got him between 25 and 35, personally.

 

Anyone who trained tommy hearns during his prime has a valid opinion in my book.
