I respect your perspective in this and the other post, I agree that PBF hasn't done this AS MUCH, but I think it's more because he doesn't have to. I believe people underestimate PBF and yes Roger's boxing IQ, he obviously can, and in a situation like this where it's necessary I believe he will. I think this is something they will pick up on and implement, but I agree with you that it hasn't been as prevelant as it has been in the past.
FMJ by wide UD. He's gonna step over on the outside of Mannys front foot and pepper him with a real jab, unlike Mosley Mayweather has a jab and a nasty right hand lead (the right hand Mosley promised but never threw when he had openings). Floyd is gonna beat Manny easy.
*manny has a toy jab that can easily be countered. First thing Floyd does against southpaws is time and measure their jab, so he can throw his counter hook over the top. Even Cotto who isn't known for counter punching was able to do this counter a few times. *THe punch Floyd throws a thousand times better than manny is the jab. Floyd will control him from the outside with a jab. *Floyd will throw his right hand to cut distance and enter the pocket. This is what he did against Hatton and Mosley. I agree with your opening post. I'm just adding in and expanding on it. Floyd KOs manny in the 11th.
I wish ESB would add a nursery, for all these kinds of cats to go to. You'd be free to smear **** on the walls, throw your crayons, chew with your mouth open, scream, yell, and make your idiotic posts. That way the grown ups could actually have some legitimate discussions about boxing. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
We all know he gets frustrated against moving fighters, nothing new, we've just seen to many Pac's recent fights against stationary bigger guys who are slow and arent skilled enough to move out the way of Mannys punches, Manny able to throw 1000-12000 punches in all different angles, simply move and he wont. plain and simple. I mean mosley making Manny miss? lol. Pacquiao was reaching most of the time. Like i said before, this fight will be won by Movement and Footwork.
I was 100% sure Floyd would beat Pacman now I'm a 1000% sure. Floyd would have Pacman missing him all night while counters. If Mosley made Pacman miss alot imagine what Floyd would do. Pacman swinging and missing would spell doom for him against Floyd.
FLoyd's foot-speed is overrated. It's up there, but he's not bouncy at all. Watch Pacqiuao-Marquez 2. There are certainly spots where Pacquiao is reluctant to come in and Marquez is pot-shotting him and throwing lead rights in a way Floyd could, but that reluctance came from effectively shutting out Pac's vicious assult earlier on. Marquez did this by bouncing out of range and countering, or changing the angle by pivoting away from Pac's left and coming back with a punch. Floyd's reflexes are great, but the one thing I see him uncomfortable against is footspeed. Hatton came in straight lines, so it wasn't an issue. Oscar stopped jabbing and had a singular offense, so Floyd was able to counter. Judah simply wasn't as skilled. Pacquiao however has a diverse arsenal and will close the distance, feint, and turn in ways that I don't think Floyd can handle. The moments of weakness he had against those fighters, being backed up or countered., could be replicated more than once by a fighter like Pacquiao on his best day. Floyd is a master boxer when the pace is how he likes it. He can look lost at times when surprised though. Whether he can make Pac play his game for a majority of the fight with single jabs to the body and head (before finding opportunities for power punches) is a valid question.
You could say the exact same thing for Pac, though, no? Why the cut the ring off when you got a guy going back in straight lines. A no-no in boxing, and one of the bad habits Mayweather actually has.
Indeed you could, I would think a minor difference would be that PBF has more experience in that kind of fight, and won't be influenced by the crowd and isn't concerned about perception. He will move and pop Pac all night, and Manny will be trying to please the crowd, as opposed to trying to win the fight. I agree on the pulls straight back, when he gets lazy he starts doing this.
