    No it very vary rare, so rare that it has never been done. Never. Duran started his career at light weight, Walcott came around when 189 was considered heavy weight ..

    Duran began at 16 years 8 months against Carlos Mendoza: the bout was at 119 and the year was 1968, with the old same day weigh in rule (which means Duran probably could have fought even lower if he began in the eighties like Pac)

    He beat Barkley for the middleweight title weighing 157.

    That's 38 pounds.

    There probably were even back then, but nowadays we have the Greatest Fraud of All Time around so that's one hurdle Manny has to overcome that Homicide H. wasn't faced with :rofl

    This was just the first story that came up when I googled it.
