If you're going to talk about records, and compare Mayweather with the greats if yesteryear, you have to consider that for a lot of the time, when someone was said to have beaten a champion, it was a champion who had been considered the best in their division at one time or another.

Floyd has not beaten 24 men who at one time or another where the best in their division.

To put into context, in one year of his career alone, Harry Greb went unbeaten in 45 fights, and beat 6 World champions. In one year. One, year.

 

I said world champions and every single one of the guys listed was a world and Floyd kicked their ass. More difficult to say in these days of multiple sanctioning bodies who the best is without world title unification fights. Harry Greb was good but he was no Floyd Mayweather that’s for sure.

 

Yes he was no Floyd Mayweather. Could you imagine Floyd fighting 45 times in a year, not losing once and during that time facing 6 men who have been the best in the world?

 

Floyd is smart as is his management and a Boss, Greb clearly was not allowing himself to be treated as cargo. Nothing smart about fighting 46 times in 1 year. That is what I call abuse.

 

As we said, he's no Floyd.

Floyd wouldn't even fight 6 champions in one year, let alone go unbeaten through 45 fights against a slew of rated opposition in two divisions.

 

Greb is certainly not Floyd if that we are agreed albeit for different reasons.

Floyd beat world champions and contenders his whole career and remained undefeated while Greb did not. I know whose career I prefer by far and when it comes to money earned and wider impact Floyd again wins hands down.

@JOKER is a good bloke. Maybe he goes over the top with his love of Pacquiao but that is his right. We can cure him with love and objectivity. The thing with Floyd is the numbers don’t lie. It pisses off his detractors but the problem is theirs not his.

Imagine if Floyd did that, the credit you would give him.
