    The issues tonight were 4-fold.

Shane was backing away, avoiding exchanges most of the fight.

Shane was effectively neutralizing the right hook (but did not counter enough).

Manny had too much respect for Shane's power. And each other. Too much touching gloves and not enough follow up with combinations.

Manny's footwork was ****. This was noticed by almost everyone, and in the post-fight interview he was saying there were problems with his legs. After rewatching the fight I noticed from the 3rd round onwards (right after the KD) Pac would do a lil hop dance periodically during rounds. By the mid rounds he dumbed down his footwork entirely, allowing Shane to pick back up. Later in the fight after getting KD, he picked back up the pace in desperation, but by the end of the 11th you see him hopping back and forth repeatedly before going to his corner, as he overstressed his legs. See for yourself :deal

Last point is not an excuse, it could possibly be that Shane took away those legs via a stiff jab or just a good clean shot

I agree, an honest perspective on both fighters and the combined outcome.

Do you think Pac perhaps over-trained inhibiting his usual volume and creativity? Or was simply content to box and had leg issues?

    Leg cramps.

Pacman has history of leg cramps, primarily due to his tendency to overworked himself every training camps.

You're not getting any younger Paccy, learn to pace yourself. Too bad cramps occurred during the fight.

They were too bloody friendly in the fight! This is why I think pbf would get in trouble with PAC

Yes pbf has more technicL ability than Mosley so he could tag Pacman but Pacman would not be scared/respect a strong right from pbf like he did ssm nor would he be on friendly terms with pbf therefore pbf will see a rushing bull charging at him in Pacman ready to k him da f out!

**** these servers I made a lengthy post only for it to bug out

It could be a result of overtraining.

I highly doubt he intended to box the whole duration, he likes to be a crowd pleaser. His usual method of going about his opponents recently is to box for a few rounds to "feel out" his opponent, only to find openings and determine patterns in the other man's style. He has different tools in his arsenal such as the feint with the feet, hands, head, as well as the right and left jab to gauge the opponent. When he feels like he has something going, or he happens to hit a sweet spot, he starts actually pumping out the iron left and turning up the combinations and angles. This process is very similar to what happened up until the end of Round 3 when the issues came about.

It also didn't help that peoples expectations for this fight were very high.

There was one break in-between rounds where he was asking Alex to massage his left leg.

Pac needs to take Magnesium Glycinate to stop his cramps, or some other form of magnesium. Magnesium can give a person diarrhea in some forms, so glycinate is probably the best.

Funny, Larry Holmes recently said in an interview before the fight that one thing he doesn't like about Pacquiao is that he over-trains. Then there's Roach in the show saying how Tyson came to watch and asked him if he should slow down as it was near fight time. Roach said "this is slow."
