You have to admit that whatever he's doing works. It does seem that whenever Manny gets on his ass, Wlad shifts it to a higher gear. He did that in the Brock fight and the Chambers fight. Unfortunately, Manny was pretty passive in the Sultan unification bout and the result was an all time stinker.

 

Manny did the right thing. Wlad listened to him. He took care of business and not a moment too soon. He was definitely fighting with more urgency in that final round, because as Manny said, we can't have another Ibragimov. Another KO for the highlight reel. All is well.

 

The funny thing is if he was scared to take a risk of getting hit by a weak puncher like Chambers, Imagine what is going to happen if he ever fights Haye or anyone with some power. Wlad knows he can't take a punch but he has learned to work around it. But sooner or later someone is going to find it again and the nuthuggers are going to be sick.
