sometimes I think Pacman uses another fighters jab to his advantage by timing the rhythm and distance.

You dont have to think it sometimes, thats exactly what he does!

Its the left jab/hook fighters that Pacquia's been feasting on all these years.
The one thing Pacquiao does expertly is nullify a fighters left hand when he does'nt have to lookout for his opponents right hand because its below average.

When I watch the MAB and DLH fights, you can see Pacquiao defensively focusing on just looking out for the jab or hook. He either slips it or he parries the incoming jab with his right glove, at the same time propelling himself to launch his vaunted straight left.

When the opponent has skill and can equally fire a left or a right with equal amounts of power (Marquez and Morales) thats when it turns difficult for Pacquiao as he now has to think about and focusing on both his opponents hands and eating that right hand when he's getting his own shots off.

 Yeah, but I don't think you'd fare well getting punched in the face by Manny Pacquiao.

A lot of prime fighters could have beaten the Oscar that entered the ring that night. His speed, snap and reflexes were totally gone. He never out right quit at all. His corner for 2 rounds kept telling him they were going to stop it and eventually did. He just didn't disagree with them.

Pacquiao didn't drain anbody. DLH agreed to the weight and had the leverage in the negotiations. They fought at the 147 limit, and DLH drained himself.

Nobody on this forum picked Pacquiao to win - nobody. It's easy to say DLH was shot to hell - but Pacquiao fought a brilliant fight. The DLH who fought Floyd would have suffered the same fate.

Not at 154 lbs with DLH weighing well above 160 lbs.
Pacqiuao would'nt be able to put a dent on a DLH that big.

I am of the opinion though that Pacquiao beats any welterweight version of DLH, and simply because all Pacquiao would have to defend was DLH's jab and hook, which I've stated Pacquiao expertly nulllifies.

Few picked Pacquiao because Pacquiao had never fought passed lightweight, and only once vs David Diaz at that.

What we found out about Pacquiao was that his speed and agility in the ring was able to cope with physically strong but slower punchers at 147 lbs.
Pacquiao has never really faced a true grade A skill fighter at 147 lbs.
Cotto is the closest he came to, but even he was a predominantly left hand happy fighter coming off of getting beatdown by Margarito and Cotto was already having problems making 147 lbs, Pacquiao brought him down to 145 lbs!

Just curious, do you feel any differently at 145 than you do at 170?

Even so, I am telling you that there is no way what so ever he made that weight gain naturally in that space of time - I know from personal experience and any ill-informed journalist or posters who claim otherwise don't know what they are talking about.

And for the record I am not a Mayweather fan in particular.

It was a great fight to make but not one to watch.

There are quite a lit of victories above this level in historical relevance.

For instance it doesn't even compare to fitz knocking out Corbett with a body shot.

everybody knows PAC's natural weight in 2008 was 140lb and
he killed himself reaching down to 130lb, then gaining 6+lb
in a shot time for DLH was not a big deal since he already
fought Diaz at 135 lb six months before ... so 1lb per month
    looks completely natural to me.

the problem is how was DLH able get down to 145 LB ...
    it was unhealthy and stupid,

if not the DLH weight draining it would be one of the best wins
in history, now it is barely legit cause it was DLH idea for offering
the catch weight in the first place.
