Gael G. Bernal must gain a lot of muscle and lose the gay face before he plays DurĂ¡n.

Al Pacino? I'll watch anything that guy is in just for his talent alone. Even 88 minutes.

I saw that, he was great in it and thought it wasn't a bad for an HBO TV Film.

I want to ask though, what's the source?

Ah just saw... variety. Not sure if that's legitimate but I'm not an insider.

Gael Garcia Bernal is a really great actor, he completely nailed the Argentine accent in Motorcycle Diaries and can embody a character well on screen. His facial structure is similar enough to be a believable Duran. Have him spend a few months bleeding, sweating, and crying in a boxing gym, apply some makeup, give him a haircut, and have him scowl- I'm sure we'd be more than pleased with the Manos de Piedra that emerges.

    And Al Pacino?!

    Why isn't Front page?

Oh right. People are too busy arguing who JMM thinks is pound for pound or whether one of the sanctioning bodies should force Pac to fight a slick black fighter from the inner cit.

Peronally i feel Gael Garcia Bernal is perfect for the role. Physically he is roughly the same height as Duran. And lets not forget Duran in his day was a looker too.

Have Gael Garcia Bernal Grow a beard and he will look the part.

I finally agree with you on something. Gael looks too feminine to play duran but who knows maybe he'll do something about it.
