Yes he talks of him as if there's a dozen Charr's sat in cold storage waiting to be defrosted and placed in the ring. Given how poor he is and the dodgy way he even managed to hold onto his belt it's striking how often he's mentioned. That belt has some value despite how ludicrous it's very existence is. Although I wouldn't put it past Eddie Hearn to just throw his name in to create mischief and put the price up too...

Fury v Charr sounds very plausible. I can imagine Arum sayingt that 'we tried with Wilder, we tried with Joshua, they don't want it, they're scared, but we found a world champion that would step up to the gypsy king in Manuel Charr'. They can then brand Fury v Rivas etc as world hw boxing defences.

He held the IBO too as he beat then owner Wlad, who held every belt except the WBC one.

Maybe they stripped him shortly after, but he did have it for at least a day.

Nah. Price might knock him down, but Charr would pound out the win. He's around Christian Hammer's level when he's on his game.

Charr is right. He is a legit WBA champ, holding the prestigious strap once held by luminaries such as David Haye. What belt does Dillian Whyte hold again?

Manuel Charr is about as relevant as the dog poo on Dillian Whyte's shoe sole.

Says the guy who pretty much got decapitated by a cruiserweight Mairis Briedis and didn't get up for about 20 seconds.

I am really hoping for Whyte vs Povetkin (battle of the left hooks). If not Povetkin then Ortiz or Hunter will do.

Whyte should go for Ortiz, get Eddie to pull some strings, overpay him, whatever.
I highly doubt Ortiz voluntarily goes in the same area code as Whyte, once he gets jabbed to pieces and probably KOd, his days dining out on being "the man who wobbled Wilder" are over.
I have said before I would love this fight but the WBC will prevent it imo.

A lot would rest on what was said in that meeting between Hearn, Whyte and Sulaiman and what assurances the WBC give. If Whyte can get guaranteed, enforced mandatory status from a fight with Ortiz I think he goes that route, it's a big US fight and a win puts him in a strong position across multiple organisations. Maybe it makes the current big 3 a big 4 and sets up a similar scenario to the Ruddock v Lewis / Holyfield Bowe eliminators of the nineties...
