Jonathan Guidry is a clubfighter ranked BoxRec #256 at heavyweight, who inexplicably is now ranked #13 by the WBA.

Hopefully the WBA will order Trevor Bryan to instead fight Daniel Dubois, who although not a top heavyweight, is several levels better than Guidry. But I doubt it, since Guidry will be an easy win even for the mediocre Bryan.

Manuel Charr is no longer "champion in recess" of the WBA.

I hate the WBA regular belt so much. Dubois is average but he'll pulverize Trevor Bryan. And then Frank Warren and BT can call him a 'world champion' or whatever..

What's actually so bad about Dubois getting a shot at Bryan is that if he wins he probably has a better chance of fighting for the real title than Joyce who beat him. Sad.

I'd never heard of Jonathan Guidry until today, he's #256 at heavyweight on BoxRec.

The corrupt WBA is letting Trevor Bryan have a title defense against someone he can beat - and they had to dig low to find Guidry.

He's 5'11 260lbs, has only beaten 5 guys when a winning record and looks like he belongs in a Toughman contest. This might be the worst challenger ever for a heavyweight world title.

Exhibit A on how title proliferation degrades boxing.

This organization should no longer be allowed to practice in the United States.

And Oleksandr Usyk should announce he no longer wants to be associated with the WBA.

And Canelo Alvarez should announce he no longer wants to be associated with the WBA.

    Start the ball rolling.

    Same.

The Association of Boxing Commissioners in the U.S. threatened the WBA with not allowing them to practice in the U.S. months ago, and now this?

They should act and ban the WBA from holding fights in the U.S.

And Oleksandr Usyk should start the ball rolling on the fighters' side. He is actually the "other" WBA champion.

Does Usyk really want to represent this organization?

Same question with Canelo. Same with Charlo. Same with Ugas. Same with Kambosos. Same with Taylor.

Surprised they didn't give a title shot to Sugar Marc De Mori given he has inexplicably been highly ranked by WBA for some time.

Like others i don;t have a scoobie who Jonathan Guidry is. I can only imagine he has some photos of the WBA president.

We Be Awful living up to their name again.

Usyk should respond immediately, because he not only is a WBA heavyweight champion, too, and REPRESENTS this organization ... but if Bryan tears an ACL or something stupid like that and Guidry WINS ... the Usyk-Joshua winner will be told to fight Guidry NEXT.

The WBA mandatory is up next.

This is all just BAD for boxing. Guidry is rated higher than Joseph Parker.

I give Parker a lot of "stick" ... but enough.

This org needs to be put out of business.

This entire situation with Bryan's plastic WBA belt is why boxing has stagnated in recent years.

The corruption is simply off the charts.

No mention of why Charr has been stripped. A certain promoter probably slipped someone in the WBA a load of notes and here we are.

This is plain bad. Bad for baasxing. But let's not kid ourselves.
All ABC belt organisations do the same crap

So if you are going to call out WBA call out WBO / WBC and IBF.
