Oquendo should fight the winner of the Tyson-Jones Jr. fight.

 

Ruiz must be really out of shape if this is the fight he wants to start of his climb for the belts.

 

In theory. But look at all of the lethargic decisions on Ruizs record. This might well be one of those even though Charr plays right into his game.

 

According to court order he should yes. But would you actually watch that? A close to 3 year inactive 35 year old heavyweight pretend beltholder cheater vs a 6 year inactive, 47 year old former heavyweight title challenger, who's claim to fame is that he pushed a couple of (mostly past it) big names close more than a decade ago?

True, he got screwed over, and he should get his shot at the pretend WBA heavyweight title, but we know that only a couple of die-hard fans with morbid curiosity would watch something silly like that.

 

I doubt this happens, but Ruiz would win I feel.

 

I thought charr was finished? Last time I watched him fight he got sparked by briedis about 5 years ago.

That's quite history. One thing he isn't; is soft.

 

Trevor Brian won the "interim" WBA HW strap. Not to be cunfused with the "regular","gold", "super" or just "world" versions.

I doubt h2h Charr is even a top 50 HW right now. That belt needs relinquishing ASAP.

 

Would be very surprised if Charr beats Ruiz.

 

I believe there's a masters degree you can take now in WBA belts.

All jokes aside Charr really Isn't as bad as a lot of people say he is. The only guys that have destroyed him have been elite world class operators(Klitschko, Povetkin, Briedis) At European-fringe world level he either wins(Ustinov, Leapai) or just falls short(Duhaupas) The Euro scene has improved significantly since his hayday however. So he probably wouldn't be as successful today as he was in the 2010s.
