Superheavyweight showdown. 6’5” 250lb big bad Leroy Jones vs 6’3” 247lb Manuel Charr.

Originally from Mississippi, Leroy Jones won two New York Golden Gloves Championships after moving to Brooklyn, New York; winning both the 1971 Heavyweight Sub-Novice Championship and the 1972 Heavyweight Open Championship.

As a pro Jones beat a prime Mike Weaver and only Lost to a prime Larry Holmes for his single defeat. Other wins Leroy had were over Dino Dennis, Jody Ballard and Larry Frazier.

Manuel Charr. The current WBA champion beat 270lb giant Alexander Ustinov but has also lost by knockout to cruiserweight Marius Breiedis. Charr Has a record of 1-1-0 (0 KO's) in world title fights and Has a record of 0-3-0 (0 KO's) against former or current world champion. Charr has Lost against Vitali Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin & Mairis Briedis.

With a 66lb weight advantage. Like Jones always did. He did NOT fight any SHWs, Charr did.

Try to find Jones on youtube, you´ll get a single fight including Holmes.

For Charr on the other hand, you´ll find plenty.

Without your Leroy Jones SHW agenda most of the users here wouldn´t even know Jones existed. What a joke.

What's sad is Charr's HL reel doesn't make him look better than Leroy's losing effort to Larry.

How many guys lost Weaver to before facing Jones? Is it more or less than 10?

Well, and also everyone knows the historical boxing videos we all pass around and upload to youtube came from Obama, Simbros, and Tonez before social media took off and took over. If Obama didn't upload it it's probably not online.

I kinda miss Ryan, he was alright.

I have a hard time picking Charr over any fighter with a pulse. The much smaller Briedis dropped Charr into a crumbling heap.

I agree. He’s a big guy, he’s game enough to take on top guys. I will give him that much. But he has been exposed badly each time. Briedis And Povetkin really demolished him.

ANY footage of Jones winning a fight? No? Did he win any title?

No problem. Here´s a video of H2H-god Mike Weaver picking one of his 18 losses:

Charr is not a good fighter. I'll go with Jones here. Despite being a tub of lard, at least he could box a little

I have to agree with your vote. Even Leroy Jones would win a belt today.
