Ustinov is awful, technically, but he's also ridiculously tough, and that toughness didn't look close to being diminished in his prior fights. Charr rocking him badly and dropping him with a single punch was an impressive feat, considering no one had down that to him before. It'd be like if someone dropped Wach. Even though Wach is terrible and shot, it's still an achievement.

 

I agree that Vitali was under no obligation to give Charr a rematch, but then neither was Lewis, and Vitali and his fans have been harping on about that for over a decade now. I just find it a bit hypocritical that a man who made such a big deal about a perfectly legitimate cuts stoppage has no problems accepting a win against a man who had a genuine case for crying foul. Regardless of how much of a nobody Charr was at the time, he was denied a chance to continue. Would he have won? Probably not. But we were never given the chance to find out, and the fight wasn't such a one-sided beat down to make that merely a formality.

 

I would disagree about Ustinov and Wach though Ustinov can take the punch pretty well.

Pulev had him hurt early in the fight with a right hand (as far as I remember round 2 or 3) more than Wach was ever hurt vs Wlad or Povetkin (both harder hitters than Pulev anyway).

I was surprised though that Charr put Ustinov on his a$$, but in terms of boxing skills Ustinov is awful, clearly worse than Charr.

But we will never come to the conslusion when discussing current WBA regular champion, you estimate Charr as a boxer much higher than I do so let it stay as it is

Find me a file that's more than five years old that doesn't checksum to Obama, Tonez, or Simbros's files. Just because you got it from a torrent doesn't mean it came from that uploader.

Back around 08-2010 ish when Obama ran the show it was a running joke on him forum. We don't just assume the files are the same, there is ways of checking that, it does have a digital fingerprint, I was not simply whistlin dixie bubba.

I don't really feel that point adds or takes from the conversation I was just telling y'all most of what is online for past boxing is online because of one of three men, mostly Obama.

Maybe there simply is no new video of old fights to be found, I dunno, but I do know Obama is who uploaded the vast majority of old fights and where he didn't it was Tonez and Simbros. After them I don't see new files for old fights I see new uploaders for current ones.

Yeah no buddy that is my point. I'm not even gonna checksum these or anything, I'll give Russel full credit....he has what six, ten video I seen in that thread.....but most of the videos online are not from Simmy? c'mon buddy, that's a thread with a baker's dozen....it's almost as big as one career thread from Simbros.....so again most of the videos you lot pass around came from Obama.

 

I was on Youtube in 2006 briefly after the site began (Check my account creation date) and I fully remember there being plenty of uploaders besides the three that you mentioned that did indeed help flesh out what's commonly available on the net. Some of it is seemingly lost for good what with the deletion of thousands of good fights off of Youtube during their "purge".

The posters you mentioned deserve plenty of credit but it was the collective work of dozens if not hundreds of boxing fans over the years that gave us the availability we now have.

But there has also been people consistently uploading from their own personal collections for over a decade on the internet, even including new great youtube channels like coachstrout. It goes back much farther than when people like Obama popped up over on Boxing scene, Glaukos.
