Ruslan Karaev was another exciting fighter, he had literally 0 defence and amazing speed and offensive skills

Well he sucks, but on a good night he at least looks like a fringe contender. He looked like a journeyman tonight. One thing I'll say about Charr is that while overrated, he fights everyone. You HAVE to respect that.

That would be pretty ironic, considering he built his name and got his big shot @ Vitali on the basis of stopping Danny (who back then only had a handful of stoppage defeats...and who later got knocked out much faster by none other than Mairis Briedis...)

Before he stopped Williams, his stock had taken a dip for the perceived home cooking against Zack Page. (or even if you didn't think it was a horrible decision, for him to have that close a call with a career journeyman whose full-time job is to come in prepared to go the distance in losses)

In reality his best victories before he stepped up to Vitali were probably knocking out fellow unbeaten Oloukun (whose prospect shine quickly vanished, going off rails in a hurry) and outpointing Tank Williams. :!:

That is true. It's no disrespect to him. More a statement to the obvious agendas (Charr became a celebrity the moment he was announced as a Vitali opponent; and battle lines and agenda motives were clear on the usual posters involved in that heated Klitschko-love-or-hate fest) and laughable hyping nature of posters on this site.

Back then after Vitali dropped him and stopped him, he was somehow in everyones top 10 HW and it seemed top 5 H2H HW's. Both absolutely delusional.

Damn, sounds like I missed a great card

Poturak's still fighting  I remember watching that dude back in middle school

Charr's official a journeyman, and I still hold to my belief that kickboxing is very fun to watch, but the guys are extremely overhyped and under skilled, but get away with it because there's such a small talent pool

Yeah but they market it much better, at least internationally.

Competitive match-ups, lots of hype, and commentators always sound excited.

I apologize. You have opened my eyes.

PS, I thought I was the only one who saw the camera.

PSS, Vitali was totes out on his feet, eyes glazed, it was the Byrd destruction all over again...

    It would've been top 5.

In the same neighborhood as Johnson, Grant, Bakhtov, and Leapai.

Then a tier down from that you have chinny Oloukun, chinny Airich, Saglam (could well have been a loss but for a fluke injury to Saglam), Page (could well have been a loss but for some home cooked scorecards), shot D. Williams, old Tank Williams, shot Beck, shot/inactive Bidenko...

And beyond that, nothing but fluff.

Yeah, kickboxing is a lot of fun, probably the first combat sport I've ever followed. K1 Grand Prix were my favorite event all year, and I still admire guys like Branko Cikatic and Ernesto Hoost, but the sport really had no depth

Whenever these guys try to cross over, they always end up getting humiliated. There is this world class kickboxer named Joe Schilling who is trying to cross over into the mma world, and in his last fight he was knocked out so badly by some unknown asian dude, that his body literally bounced on the floor two or three times from the impact. Overeem took to kickboxing sort of as a side sport to do when he's not in mma camp, and he won the k1 Grand Prix, destroying some of the most legendary kickboxers in the process, yet has a less than stellar record in mma

Only guy I can think of that was successful was Mirko Crocop, and even he was destroyed when he came to the ufc

I don't even like it when referring to a vessel used for transportation. Even before the other connotation of "totes" became a thing, with this Carly Rae Jepsen and glitter-glue obsessed generation.

There was always more solemn language to be used. "Ladies' haversack", for instance. Or "big-ass midriff-chafing purse".

You can't seriously think Charr had a 50% chance of beating Chambers (who by the way is inactive for quite a while now). Chambers would need to be robbed worse than he was with Adamek to lose, I see him taking every round.

Anyhow, Charr ruined his own career. He is too busy taking selfies and lounging at restaurants instead of training, this kind of lifestyle didn't make anyone a champion yet.

    Chambers might even stop Charr.
