Round 4 Charr puts his earmuffs on and plows into Bidenko, letting jabs bounce off his forearm. Charr opens up with one of his wild body attacks. Bidenko is pushed back to a corner and Charr whacks him with a hard right to the side and then a hook to the liver. Bidenko leans back and shimmies out, jabbing in multiples. Weak slapping rights to the body by Bidenko. Circling left, Bidenko tries to get his jab piercing through Charr's gloves. It doesn't work, so he goes to the body with left hooks instead while circling. Charr leaps on him with left and right uppercuts, pressing him into a corner but missing a lot. 40-36 Charr
Round 5 Charr keeps marching forward, now jabbing high out of his guard economically rather than sweeping out at the body with power shots. Bidenko keeps circling left, staying off the ropes, leaning in to grab and slow Charr down every now and then. Uppercuts by Charr as he walks Bidenko nearly up against the ropes. Lots of ducking and bowing in-step by Bidenko. A few counter jabs while stepping around Charr comprise the meat and potatoes of his offense. It's pretty much all meat and potatoes. No veggies, no dessert. Charr keeps pressuring with the jab and trying to work his short-traveling uppercuts whenever he gets Bidenko cornered. 50-45 Charr
Round 6 Bidenko takes skipping steps backward and runs to his left. Bidenko flashes his hands out, several jabs and some soft quick rights but all hitting glove. Charr walks him down and double-hooks him in the side, then hooks him hard in the head and turns it over. Bidenko backs away, all across the ring, still ducking and twisting under the power shots of Charr but with less fluidity now. Bidenko is looking fragile, and flurrying desperately with quick but light underhanded combos to stay off the ropes. Charr is walking him down throwing big hooks up top with bad intentions. Bidenko steps around him and lands a slapping left hook and a slapping right as Charr briefly keeps his guard down. 60-54 Charr
There have been a few rounds people might have favored Bidenko's "running and missing jabs" over Charr's "moderately effective aggression and missing power shots". :yep Bidenko is certainly trying to create the illusion of being busier. When it comes to generalship and quality of blows landed, it's been all Diamond Boy.
Round 7 They push together and lock arms, wrestling. Bidenko steps back and slaps at the body. Slapping hooks up top by Bidenko. Charr steps forward and manages to plant one of his heavier left hooks on Bidenko's head, but the Ukrainian was able to curl down and roll with it. Charr steps through and attacks with uppercuts while Bidenko flurries back straight up top. :think 10-9 Bidenko 69-64 Charr
Round 8 Bidenko props himself against Charr, forearm to forearm, and hooks at the body. Charr takes it for the first half minute, then dishes it back out. Bidenko immediately backs up after feeling a hard hook downstairs. Slaps up top by Bidenko as Charr pushes into him. Lots of forearm thrusts by Charr, putting Bidenko on the back foot and off balance. Bidenko keeps slapping and moving. Charr marches up and lands a body shot, then barely misses with a big corkscrew right as Bidenko leans off the ropes. Whipping hook by Bidenko backing up. Charr walks in on him and they push together. Hooks to the body by Charr. Bidenko tries to backhand Charr in the stomach, but hits elbow. Charr shoves him into the ropes. Big right uppercut to the body by Charr. Slapping right to the back of the head by Bidenko, while holding Charr in place with his left. Uppercut by Charr misses, and Bidenko counters with a 1-2 to the brow. Uppercut by Charr is blocked, but opens up a left hook to the body for him. Weak jabs by Bidenko trying to work off the ropes. Charr keeps marching up and working the body. Soft and ever slower flurries to the guard by Bidenko. Body hook, and a hook to the jaw by Charr on the front foot. 10-9 Charr 79-73 Charr
Round 9 Bidenko jabs into Charr's guard and slaps over with a right. Charr bends forward and drums a few body shots off his ribs. Charr keeps pressing behind his tight guard and Bidenko tries to hold him in place with his left arm outstretched. Charr just muscles on through. Bidenko taps the body with a right and then starts pumping a jab while circling right for a chance. Back to left. Charr starts to clip Bidenko with big overhand rights to the head behind his jab. Bidenko is wilting, and looking to lean in and possibly clinch. They grind forearms and wrestle their way into a clinch. Right to the body by Bidenko. Two hard jabs to the face by Charr. Wide reaching flank-spank by Bidenko. Double hook to the ribs by Charr. Bidenko keeps flopping up against Charr, arms folded up as a cushion. Mouth piece out. Bidenko's. Replaced. Very little time left in the round. Time in. BIG looping right by Charr!! Bidenko in a corner! 89-82 Charr
Round 10 Bidenko circles, floats out a weak jab and wiggles it in approximation of a few more, and then dives in to drape himself against Charr's frontside. Charr keeps bracing him with the left and then swinging big overhand rights. Hard right by Charr gets Bidenko frozen on the ropes. Charr unloads as Bidenko sits back. The ref splits them up. Bidenko flurries to the body. Another break in the action. Very active ref. Bidenko is allowed to get a sip of water from his corner. :? The ref takes a point from him. Was that for abusing the break to get some water? Weird. Bidenko starts to jab and back up. Charr comes forward swinging HARD uppercuts and overhands with the right. 10-8 Charr 99-90 Charr
