Never mentioned as a unification opponent for AJ or Wilder, is there any value at all in his WBA world heavyweight title? Do you even consider him to be a heavyweight champion of the world?
Diamond Boy is the realest gangsta in the game. I don't see any of the other champs rolling up on British beasts like Fury and Haye calling them out mano e mano. This content is protected This content is protected
He's set to fight Fres Oquendo. The fight has to happen before Fres turns 50 (currently 45) After that the winner may face Wilder-AJ winner in a PPV megafight.
No, of course he's not a real champion. That doesn't make him a worthless opponent though. I was impressed at his conditioning and punching power in the Ustinov fight. Ustinov is incredibly hard to put down -- in fact, prior to the Charr fight only Pulev had managed to drop him, and it came from eleven rounds of punishment that more or less forced him to take a knee. Charr dropped him hard, and had him on shaky legs. I want to see how he does against Chisora, Whyte, Breazeale etc. I think he doesn't do half as badly as pepople might think.
I’m suprised this isn’t the route Eddie has taken Whyte down tbh, would make him a so called world champion and he would most defiantly bill it as a unification in a rematch against AJ that the casuals would eat up
I think the WBA super is a dead end. AJ doesn't want it, it confuses the **** out of most people who understand the principle of a1 world champion a hell of a lot easier than 2. Whyte is rapidly moving towards mandatory status with WBC and IBF, which would give him a guaranteed shot at a genuine champ in wilder or AJ. Pursuing Charr seems like a distraction?
Charr is total crap .There are guys who train in the gym I go to could beat him.complete waste of space. Would make it as a spar partner for any half decent HW.
this fight between charr and oquendo is embarrassing!!! ok charr beat ustinov fare and square but oquendo hasn't fought since 2014 and he's next in line? the wba and this title is a joke!
