Thought he best GGG which in my opinion it was a close entertaining fight but I GGG winning 8-4 but can also say 7-5. Canelo did the same fight Cotto had done with him and won by a landslide against him yet him fighting GGG with that same style as Cotto had with him with the exception that he threw with more velocity and gets a draw. I can recall him calling Cotto a diva but he's for sure acting like one against GGG. Don't get me wrong either he did box a tremendous fight but only in spurts if he does fight GGG in a rematch next he could possibly win this time by k.o. But I'll do it asap or he might never get him again because GGG could lose his next fight
hes not winning by ko if they fight next. there was no way he could ko anyone by running from them like he did. if he were to slug it out with triple g he would gas, that much is clear. he was huffing and puffing the entire fight. canelo aint getting any better, this is the best weve seen him and ever will see him golovkin isin't even a fast boxer but his power had canelo on the run, his power wont go, his work rate might deteriorate but it hasn't yet...
keep in mind golovkin was trying to KO him out, thus leaving himself open. I don't think triple G will be as aggressive in the rematch, he couln't get the KO anyways so it makes no sense to go for it. He will dominate Canelo next time all 12 rounds
Majority had it 8-4. Tough, gruelling, entertaining and competitive fight, BUT it ain't close on the card.
I had the fight 8 to 4 Golovkin, same as Harold Lederman. Byrd should be banned for life and investigated. Do not trust Bob Bennett......................he picked her! She has been corrupt for years!
Well at least Bob didn't put Tony Weeks as the referee right Farmboxer. I know you were really worried about that happening. Maybe for the rematch lol. By the way I thought Kenny Bayless did an outstanding job. And on the bright side, there were no low blows or egregious fouls like Ward Kovalev. All in all I got to give credit to both G and Canelo for fighting a very clean controversy free fight. The only thing controversial was the Byrd card.
