Many of the so-called “Russian” MMA fighters are not actually Russians

    Instead of saying "the Russian guy" they could say "the Soviet guy" and be more accurate ...

    Then I guess you better learn the difference between a Chechen and an Uzbek.

    Soviet is not an ethnicity, it is a nationality. Nationality does not determine race or ethnic grouping.

    Chechens and Uzbeks CAN be grouped into different ethnicities.

    Heck, even look at Afghanistan.

    I know this.

    We are clearly missing each others points.

    My point being that anybody from the broad boundaries of the USSR is likely to be called "the Russian guy".

    Soviet is not a nationality. It doesn't mean anything anymore since the 90s.
