Yes reasonable people recognize he did not work hard on cardio-never even going for a 12 round spar-& that Hgrovic deserved credit for excellent strategy, patience, & chin. But here are many things that most all of us will not have recognized about his movement, punch selection, follow up, & generally bad habits that this video said he had since 2019. Low lead hand, not taking head off the center line, main defense going backwards in straight lines predictably, lack of lateral movement, Dropping his back hand when throwing leaping/gazelle punches, admiring his work & getting lax, etc. It credits Moses with some very effective tactics, but mucho other problems that preceeded & cannot be blamed on Ben Davidson. The video also analyses what habits would make him how vulnerable against others such as Dubois. Rough housing techniques also are examined & critiqued. This guy/channel seems a bit of a boxing savant. This content is protected
He gets away with all of it through sheer speed, aggression and power. "The best defense is a good offense" Hardly any world HWs could take 8 rounds of what Itauma dished out in the weekend Hrgovic is one of the few
I didn’t hear his comment pre fight on the why would I spar 12 rounds thing but if I did I would have instantly picked Hrgovic, absolutely insane. I read someone say that training team ought to be done for malpractice. Where do you even begin with a fighter who as talented as he is, has somehow got it into his head that you don’t need to be sparring 12 rounds lol. You cannot be the future ruler of the division and think something like that makes much sense.
