I saw a bevy of defensive skills being utilized by him down the stretch.

The Pull Counter as Ortiz was walking in punching.

I saw some good resets, some good counters, really good head movement, the parrying of shots, the defensive footwork.

I could tell that he was watching his fair share of Floyd Mayweather videos leading up to this fight.

It was great. Let's see some more.

artistry in keeping away from a shuffling 40 year old man until he buckled out of gas, then clubbing the helpless guy out.

THis is a return to the largely sham rule of the Klitshckos, if not worse!

Mayweather never been scared. Wilder was scared. He can thank god for his only asset but a deadly one: his huge right hand that can close the lights of any opponent at any moment. For the rest, yes he showed heart but he is mediocre.

Very good defensive work last night by Deontay.

You can really see his improvement in that area.

Which bit is your favourite? Is it the defensive move of running to the other side of the ring or the defensive move of getting punched in the face?

How the hell do you compare Mayweathers defensive artistry to a walking sentient pyschopathic windmill?

Some of my favourite bits of that fight was the body swaying after a right hand lead and making Ortiz miss by a mile. It's called analyzing the fight to its entirety. To the untrained eye, it could go unnoticed. To a defense enthusiast like myself, I could see it all. It was beautiful work. The man has worked hard and did a lot of GREAT defensive work last night.

With Floyd's defensive capabilities and his own athleticistic offensive prowess and thinking logistically credibility, Wilder just might be invincible.

    Wilders defence = his height

He literally stood around for 4 rounds out of range not doing anything...

When Wilder fights two men his own height AJ And Fury he is going to be a sitting duck. Wilder doesn't even have a jab....he is 6'7'" and let Spilka beat him to the jab. He pretty much has no fundamentals. Don't see how he survives against AJ or Fury who are not 50 year olds.
