I think it's interesting because Americans usually consider Americans to be the GOAT but the slavs will consider their guy as the GOAT.

I think there are definite culture and ethnic biases in determining the best H2H heavyweights ever. Some people don't look at resumes to consider who is the GOAT of the sport but rather their head to head potential.

Resumes don't really tell what would happen in a head to head...take anyone from Louis's resume..vitali would easily crush all them...take Alis resume....foreman would be a underdog against Vitaili yet arguably may have beat ali in a rematch or made a better account of himself....Vitali like Tyson dominated in the same manner ...one can easily see how either could beat anyone ever,Resumes are not skills. They help if one fighter has fought a simialtr or the same fighter ,it makes it easier for sure...Lewis struggled with Bruno, tyson crushed Bruno..etc...etc...these types of statistics do help.

Its very hard to discedit a dominant champ like Vitali, barring injuries and stoppages he never truly lost a fight like a prime Tyson.Lewis also dominated arguably the best era,he certainly is over almost over everyone as well and a case can be made for him depending on your stance of his level he beat, even with the few losses and lack luster performances...you cannot take a win away because even Ali had iffy wins and struggles with far less fighters than lewis or Vitali ever did.In the end making a case for a 6'7 250 pounder with great skill is all not that hard to do.

Here we go again. Vitali and Wlad the all conquering heroes. Get those hero worship goggles off Termite. Vitali's 'great skills' ?? Are you watching the same big lumbering robot that I see? He was tough I'll grant you but who did he beat really?
He managed to dominate smaller inferior men but struggled when he was up against a past prime Lewis. And for the love of God stop going on about how big he is. Everyone knows how tall and heavy he was and it doesn't make him a better boxer.

    Vitali wasn't dominant.

He ignored a good 80% of the division , only fighting bottom rankers from one organization.

It's mind-boggling how overrated Vitali is resume wise, often by the same people that criticize Tyson's opposition in the 80's which was ten times better.

    What's his best win? Peter?

Well he is simply not the GOAT, or anything close to it.

If people think that he has an argument, they are simply wrong.

90% of them are basing their ranking purely on his size and colour the other 10% are just not very clever

Seems like a random statement with no basis to it. Any halfway-knowledgeable slavic boxing fan will not consider Vitali the GOAT, that's nonsense.

Why slavics as well? That's an ethnic group that spans countries. You think Russians or Polish think Vitali is the best ever?

    A completely overrated fighter.
