But he didn't. He insisted he go back in against Mosley and he knew what would happen. He was pretty jacked and damaged against Pac but he carried on. He literally begged to go on with one eye in Cotto 2 even though he could have gone blind. I know the comments this will bring. Few, if any related to the topic, but OH well.

Yeah, there's a line you cross when you keep fighting on when there's basically no hope in sight to win. This is why trainers should be the ones to protect their fighters. A fighter has this mentality and that's a good thing. It's something trainers should know and understand. Fighters that cross that line are often called warriors and also called stupid. Neither are necessarily less true.

Victor, the "bigger, stronger fighter" only had to stay on his feet for a multi-million dollar payday. For Margarito, pride was enough. You could see in the Mosely fight he simply would not quit on his stool. I'm not saying Victor was wrong tonight. Simply adding some counter balance and perspective. It is a strange sport to start with when you think about it I guess.

Yep. As much as I dislike Margarito, I will never question his toughness.

He is a gutsy ****er who will keep trying despite taking all kinds of punishment.

Margo got ambushed by GBP & took this fight at very short notice, he was still way way over the weight 2 weeks before the fight, piled the pounds on a plenty after the Cotto victory which is understandable. He looks absolutely drained in this fight, i don't think this fight was even signed till the end of November. I suppose he thought Shane looked shot to **** after the Mayorga lay down & thought it worth the risk + the $2Million best pay day.

Nah margo had plenty of time to train for Mosleh after his victory over Cotto. If he came to the fight unprepared he has no one to blane but himself. There also the wraps issue and whether or not he felt defeated after his "secret weapon" was taken away.

Cant be too hard on Ortiz, we arent the ine who had their jaws and sternum broken. Boxing is the only sport where quitting should be acceptable in cerain situation because these guys can die in there. Not to mention most of them are ****ed up after they finally retire.

Do you also give Arthur Abraham credits for not having quit against Miranda ?

BTW, "quit" doesn't take an "e" at the end. :hi:

Im sorry for the insults earlier, it appears you are reaching out for help. It seems you can no longer control your overwhelming urges to have another man bum you. You must be getting used to the feeling as I dont think there are any ppvs happening in the near future. U should pm mike w, good luck and enjoy the fight with your new friend.
