We all know that Floyd fights only with the best fighters out there and the only good fight that can be made for Floyd is "Sexy". GBP won't let Canelo fighting with Floyd or Martinez cuz he would be toyed by them imo ! I think this it would be the supreme test for Floyd. A dangerous southpole , with good speed , athleticism , ring IQ , big power and one of the best footworks in the business i.e Martinez. At this time a fight between Floyd and Pacquiao is uninteresting and pointless when u have Martinez. Probably Pac-man will get beat again by Marquez and then he'll ( Pac ) demand a 5th fight with him ! Also I'm looking forward Lucas Matthysse next fight too. :yep So , at what weight do u think Mayweather vs Martinez would be and how it would go this fight, considering both fighters style of fighting and attributes ?
If Mayweather and Sergio lock horns it will be at 154 no question. Actually is a slight change this fight gets made if Floyd decides to become active again and here are 2 reasons why: 1. As long as Manny is with Bob Floyd will not fight him 2. Is GBP really willing to sacrifice their cash cow Canelo just yet Aside from Floyd just being too scarred to accept the Sergio fight I don't think their is any other reason why it can be made. Not many other options for him.
Indeed besides Sergio I don't see too many options for Floyd , only if GBP decides to "sacrifice" Canelo ! Maybe Bradley but don't think so.
Bradley is with Top Rank, Floyd wont be fighting anyone who's with Arum Aside from the circus of issues with a Pacquiao fight im sure that's the real reason why they havent and wont fight And IMO they should do Canelo because loosing to Floyd isnt a career killer, most people expect it and he is a kid. Look at Chavez for example. No one cares that he lost, if anything he gets credit for having balls
so , basically you're saying that if Canelo would fight with Martinez and lose that fight it would affect more Canelo's career than if Canelo would lose the fight against Floyd ?! if GBP will think like that, matching Canelo with Floyd, then Martinez will have to choose another opponent . Maybe Cotto , Geale or the rematch with Jr. If Cotto will beat Trout then a fight with Martinez will make sense , knowing that Sergio wants big money fights but if he'll lose then the Jr rematch will be the last choice for Martinez . Anyway , Mayweather vs Martinez must happen on cinco de mayo 2013 ! :yep
Floyd won't fight Martinez, don't kid yourself. If it were an option between Sergio and Canelo, Floyd will choose Canelo for the simple fact that Canelo fight will sell more and Canelo has no chance of beating him. But maybe we are thinking too much, problaby Floyd wants Berto or Alexander who are easier fights for him. :huh

Mayweather no quiere pelear contra Sergio, pero entiendo por que. Maravilla es demasiado grande y rapido, y en esta etapa de su carrera, es un riesgo innecesario para Mayweather. Lo mas importante es proteger su 0, pero entiendo sus razones completamente.
