Oh, poor Arthur meeting the winner of the tournament so early Cerdan is just one or two leagues above Abraham - my current favourit mw. Cerdan is just better at everything except punching power. Abraham has a great chin so I doubt he will get KOed but I expect him to get a career ending beating. His chin won´t do him any good in here. Cerdan UD15 Abraham.
IMO...A war...at least for awhile. If you watch Cerdan, he was a very well schooled fighter. Always in position to punch out of a clinch, nice habit of moving to the right and firing off lead rights followed by left hooks while staying out of an opponent's range for counter rights. Abraham's toughness astounds me...what a determined fighter. A huge, powerful, middleweight he looks like a tank. He would have his moments, maybe knocking Cerdan down, perhaps being able to hurt him badly...the man can hit very hard. But down the stretch, I like Cerdan's footwork and workrate to see him through...I think he would have to box at a distance more with Abraham, and he is capable of doing just that. Cerdan UD
Cerdan has too much tools for Arthur. Abraham would give it his all for a while, then cerdan would turn the tide in about the tenth. Marcel Cerdan TKO in 11.
Cerdan too sharp. He'd easily outwork AA. You can never totally discount a big puncher like Abraham but still, Cerdan clear ud.
Perhaps so, But Cerdan would be pleased to know that LaMotta is fighting out of New York & not Italy!
Personally, I think Cerdan would beat LaMotta prime for prime and he just is the best mw competing in this tournament - Fitz has a shot but he fought under different rules.
I'm surprised by so many people picking Cerdan by KO. Abraham has a cast iron chin, a great defence and his extremely heavy hands have made many of his opponents think twice about opening up.
Marcel late stoppage far better fighter, I could see Arthur gassing and Cerdan stopping him in the championship rounds.
