Marcelo Luiz Nascimento replaces Sherman Williams against Joe Parker

Very impressive performance by Parker. He was in control almost the entire fight. How long before we start claiming him as an Aussie

seems marcelo was nowhere near being a no hoper afterall. just the usual disrespect shown by some towards a hard working fighter.

 

What I saw in the 6th round looked liked about 1 solid min. of anxious moments for Parker, and camp.
He was hurt by a right uppercutt.
Parker showed obvious vulnerability to the right hand, had no idea how to get out of the way of it, and appears to lack clinching skills in current form.
Those complaints aside he showed us flashy handspeed, and explosive punching power.
He has pretty good balance, and has a very solid arsenal of punches with what looks like a world class jab/right, and left hook.
Parker is a bit raw, and could use more patience. He has enough power to let the KO happen without forcing it.

Without a doubt he has to learn to move his head better, and learn to clinch when he needs to.
Your elite HW's have more power in their right hands than Nascimento.
He would have been KO'd if in with a better puncher.

Parkers team have confidence in him though, and he has faced better opposition than most 8-0 fighters.
At least he was in with a guy that can expose some of his weaknesses so his team knows what to improve on, unlike Deontay Wilder who weaknesses are still unknown after 31 fights.

I say if Parker can can clean up his game, you guys down under have your best HW since Tua.

Let's hope Joseph is the brains of Duco Promotions - Matt in a Hat gave a good summation but guys like David Higgins will bite off more than Joseph can chew at this point.

 

Stupid really from Duco. I say plenty of international level oppnents to hone his skills and improve where he needs to before taking on top 50 opponents

 

Parker is a very exciting prospect. I hope they don't throw him to the wolves too quickly. Duco mentioning Browne's name is clever promotion because they would know full well Browne will be heading in a different direction.

 

50/50 fight between lucas and parker. they both have their flaws and makes for an interesting fight.

 

He is a no hoper. You're just trying to build him up because Sol fought him.atsch No disrespect to him he has the guts to get in the ring and take beatings but he is hopeless.

Just offering my opinion buster owns himself he talks about others disrespecting fighters yet does it all the time himself. Lets be honest I wish Parker all the best and MLN was a late replacement but let's be honest he's ordinary.
